negarastani I think this movie is a must watch, yet keep in mind that topics covered in it are subject to active debate and this movie only depicts some of the hypotheses and for the sake of the story many other ideas are not even mentioned! In particular are the topics on the genetics and economics. The problem is very well explained yet the solution that is given at the end is unrealistic I think! The program traces back all the problems to the early theories of Adam Smith in 1700s. The scene at the end with the pile of trash money is so radical I would say! The fact that they try to distant themselves from socialism is a bit annoying. Socialism of Sovient Union didn't work! This doesn't mean that socialism, meaning equality and egalite is a taboo to talk about!

jamesguerin I found this documentary truly excellent. I've seen all the other reviews on here saying how "eye-opening" it was. I agree to a large extent. It is very educational on how fundamentally flawed and ridiculous our monetary system is. Its hard to believe some of the stuff about perpetual debt but it does make sense, as shown by the worldwide economic collapse in recent years, and how nothing seems to have changed even after this. What this film does is explain how the current worldwide economy is unsustainable, unjust and horribly corrupt. I think people know there is poverty and suffering all over the planet, but assume that eventually there will be peace and happiness and abundance. Why? If we sit idly by and don't change anything, we will continue towards oblivion until all our resources are gone and everyone nukes the s*@!out of each other. War is such a futile exercise. This film made me realize that unless you actually get up of your couch and stop supporting the huge corporations, and stop believing the propaganda that is spoon fed to us, then millions will suffer in the third world for eternity and society as a whole will be held back immensely so the elite don't lose their status. Watch this.

fregattt The film which has changed my sights at all life "to" and "after". I urge all of you to watch this film, without putting off. Will watch please all this film and for you too much will clear up in this life! Our earth isn't infinite also global changes will occur only working together. Our financial system of settles all of us conducts to the world crash and war. Therefore yet late it is necessary to reconsider the sights at all round us an event and to take part in the project described in this film. Because only having realized essence of all problem and having gathered, we can improve health of the Earth and our society as a whole.

jhuni_x Okay this movie basically can be divided into five parts:(1). Monetary System w/ Ron Paul(2). Confessions of Economic Hit-man (3). Venus Project (4). Religion(5). Random Anti-American Stuff you can doOkay first of all they start out with a discussion on the monetary system and they talk about how corrupt the federal reserve is but that does not really prove that there shouldn't be any monetary system just that there shouldn't be a federal reserve. Then they bring in Ron Paul for a while in there and he talks about the federal reserve but anyone who knows him, knows he is a capitalist and he likes free-markets as long as there is no federal reserve involvement. This part doesn't really help the video that much.Okay then they talk about John Perkins, an economic hit-man, and this is really quite interesting but they just throw together things in a small amount of time like a half an hour and it is just not that interesting if you really want to know about this stuff his book that I read is very good and I recommend you read that it is called "Confessions of an Economic Hit-man". Shortly after talking about this section they bring in Jacque Fresco who says every single government in the world is pretty much corrupt and this really screws up the entire point of this last section and I am really disturbed by that. They talk about Hugo Chavez in Venezuela in the second section and then they say that he and his allies in Latin America are all basically corrupt...Okay then they bring on the third part of the movie, but it was after an hour and I was already wondering what is the point of this whole movie is about anyways this is the most interesting part of the movie they talk about how we could build an underwater train that runs based on magnets. I think they should ditch the rest of the movie and just talk about The Venus Project the entire time.Then they start talking about religion. Well this movie contains so many contradictions it could be a religion. For example they say that the machines being invented are oppressive when they talk about capitalism and then they move on to say that they are instruments for good in The Venus Project and many other confusing things like that, many of which I have already covered. For all these reasons I cannot give it more then 6/10.
