1st Match: Dean Malenko vs Eddie Guerrero, No DQ match for the WCW US Heavyweight Championship. You'd think a match between these two would be a barn burner, but it takes awhile to get there. Eddie shows off some of his heel side here, which is cool, but the match was just really slow for me. Aside from a few spots, there's nothing really exciting about the match for me. X-Pac comes out to cost Eddie the title, again redoing the angle of X-Pac stealing the belts which is super old by now. An average start. Rating: 3/52nd Match: Psychosis vs Ultimo Dragon. This is the first ever singles meeting for these two, and you can tell. The match is slow, no big moves get a pop from the crowd, and it just exists until one of them wins. Sonny Onoo also interferes, getting real sick of that. Rating: 2.5/53rd Match: Glacier vs Mortis. This is just a Sub Zero vs Reptile match from Mortal Kombat. I'm pretty sure that's the whole reason these two gimmicks were created. Also James Mitchell is here, it's cool to see a younger version of him. He also interferes in the match, making that 3 matches in a row. Glacier wins, which is fine, but the sad thing is that this is the best match of the night. Rating: 3/54th Match: Buff Bagwell vs Scotty Riggs, Strap match. Welcome to a match where no heat exists, and all Bagwell does is flex. This goes on for over 12 minutes, and kills a show that was already mediocre at best. Nothing happens, and there's nothing at stake, and it bores me to tears. Rating: 1.5/55th Match: Harlem Heat vs Public Enemy, Texas Tornado match. This is another one of those "#1 Contender matches" that apparently mean nothing because Hall and Nash don't defend the belts of PPV like at all. It's an entertaining brawl, with some funny moments with Sherri, but is just a watered down version of ECW. At least it's better than the match before it. Also more interference. Rating: 3/56th Match: Prince Iaukea vs Rey Mysterio, WCW World TV Championship. So I just figured out that Prince is just a WCW version of Rocky Maivia, and he has the same connection with the crowd: none. This match is DOA, and then some. Despite Mysterio normally being able to carry any match, this is slower than continental drift. No pops from the crowd, no interesting moves, just basic wrestling moves until the time limit expires. The match is extended, which means nothing because the crowd was already chanting "Boring!" by this point. The restart is also pointless, because Prince beats Mysterio like a minute later with a basic reversal. Pointless and boring. Rating: 1.5/57th Match: Team nWo vs Team Piper vs Team WCW, Triangle Elimination match. WCW is down one guy, putting the nWo at an advantage, because we all know Jarrett and Mongo have no chance of winning this. Big Show gets eliminated first, and thanks to Dennis Rodman, the nWo wins to the surprise of no one. So that's 5 matches on a 7 match show that have interference. Do you think that's enough?! After the match, Sting comes down and wipes out all of the nWo, showing his alliance is with WCW. Cool, you had us wait through a 3 hour show to see that. I think I've realized why the nWo was such a bad idea from a writing perspective. Having all the heels in one group, leaves no heels on the midcard, so none of the matches before this had any heat, or angle, or story aside from the nWo. And besides that, the nWo always win by cheating, this is not how you build heels! The match is entertaining I suppose, but the nWo formula has gotten really bad now. Rating: 3/5Final Rating: 5 out of 10. Over half the matches have interference, and the other 2 matches are boring as hell. This is turning into a problem, and it's not that hard to see why WCW folded 4 years after this.

Live from Charleston, South CarolinaAttendance: 9,285Your commentators are Tony Schiavone, Dusty Rhodes & Bobby HeenanUnited States Heavyweight Championship (No Disqualification)Eddie Guerrero (C) Vs Dean MalenkoSyxx comes down with a camera and tries to steal Eddie's title. Eddie manages to stop him, but Dean drills Eddie with the camera to win the title. This was a damn fine opener! You really can't go wrong with two of the greatest wrestlers ever going out there and putting on a clinic. They told a great story in the ring with some wonderful psychology. If you love action, you'll get plenty of that as well. Rick Steiner was ambushed during the match.****The Ultimo Dragon (W/Sonny Onoo) Vs PsychosisThe Ultimo Dragon wins with a tiger suplex. Uncensored is starting off with a bang! This is another excellent match. These guys flew all over the place and delivered some amazing high-flying manuevers. One of the best things about WCW was the Cruiserweight division.***1/2DDP is out for an interview. Okerlund asks if it bothers DDP that Savage won't acknowledge him. DDP says the fans know who he (DDP) is. DDP tells Savage to snap into a Diamond Cutter. Randy Savage shows up at the announcer's table. Savage says he misjudged DDP and that he respects him. Randy Savage pulls out an adult magazine. He taunts DDP about DDP's wife Kimberly being the centerfold. Kimberly shows up with her dress having nWo all over it. Savage attacks DDP from behind. He spray paints nWo all over him. Miss Elizabeth spray paints nWo on the other side of Kimberly's dress. Elizabeth says Kimberly should be thrilled that the nWo loves her. Savage says DDP is the man. Martial Arts MatchMortis (W/James Vandenberg) Vs GlacierMortis is Chris Kanyon. Glacier wins. After the match, Wrath comes down to the ring and assaults Glacier. Believe it or not, this was actually a pretty good match! I'm being serious. I didn't expect much at all from these two and ended up being pleasantly surprised. ***1/4Strap MatchBuff Bagwell Vs Scotty RiggsBagwell wins. This is the first stinker of the night. This was a boring strap match that featured nothing exciting about it what so ever. If you wanna see a really good strap match, watch Stone Cold face Savio Vega in a Caribbean Strap Match.*1/2Tornado MatchHarlem Heat (W/Sister Sherri) Vs Public EnemyHarlem Heat wins after Steve McMichael screws Public Enemy over. This was a repetitive match that featured many of the same weapons used over and over. It got stale very quickly. It also went way too long.*3/4Television ChampionshipPrince Iaukea (C) Vs Rey Mysterio Jr.It initially goes to a time limit draw, but Mysterio manages to convince Iaukea to put more time on the match and restart it. Iaukea wins. They were trying to legitimize Prince Iaukea, but it kinda backfired. There were boring chants scattered throughout the match. It wasn't boring, but it was average.**Three Team MatchTeam nWo (Hollywood Hogan, Randy Savage & The Outsiders) Vs Team Piper (Roddy Piper, Chris Beniot, Jeff Jarrett & Steve McMichael) Vs Team WCW (Lex Luger, The Giant & Scott Steiner)It's an elimination style match. The last man standing wins. If nWo wins, they can wrestle for any title any time they wish. If WCW wins, nWo will be forced to give back all their tltles to WCW, and can't wrestle for 3 years. If Piper's team wins, Roddy Piper will face Hollywood Hogan in a steel cage down the road. Hollywood Hogan is the last man standing to give team nWo the win, thanks to Dennis Rodman. This was a trainwreck of a match. That's all I'm gonna say.*Sting comes down from the rafters and ATTACKS the nWo. He gives Hollywood Hogan the Scorpion Deathdrop to end the show. The ending to the show is very redeeming. The crowd had waited for Sting to do this for a long time. They went crazy for Sting. An amazing ending to an entertaining PPV.7/10
