Viviana Salinas I decided to read all the reviews before I watched the movie,I saw some negative ones,which I respected before I saw this film,but now,I don't understand why someone would write that.I decided to listen to the people who said positive things about it,and bought the movie on amazon.I was very excited for it's arrival and decided to watch it straight away.This movie is a true masterpiece,I'm not much of a writer,but this movie was worth reviewing.I don't want to give anything away,so I'll just leave it at this.It's worth the watch,you have a great time.You smile,you cry and you laugh.Another thing I liked very much were the illustrations and the photography,it makes you feel like you're there.Splendid film.

zcestanque I believe Ways to Live Forever is based off a children's book. It follows two boys, Sam and Felix, as they go through their daily lives with childhood Leukemia. I was able to watch an advance screening of the movie a few months back and I was definitely hesitant at first. I personally am involved in several cancer related organizations and being surrounded by so many people affected by this disease, I wasn't really up to see another tearjerker. But to my surprise, the movie was more uplifting than it was sad, but of course we can't stray away from there being some emotional scenes with a topic such as cancer. It definitely surpassed my expectations considering the film was more lighthearted that anticipated. I think what I like most about this movie which differentiates itself from most cancer related movies, is that is focuses more on living life to the fullest rather than dying. I appreciate the realism the movie portrays. Overall the movie was a pleasant take on such a tough subject. The acting was good, the storyline was great and I thought the soundtrack was a great fit for the movie.

K_ss87 This is such a great movie it leaves something in you after watching it. I think it deserves more than 6.6 rating, i am not sure if its based on a true story but it makes feel that it is. The kid Sam acting makes you feel it is real. The other characters were good as well. The good thing that they focus on the kid's needs and what he wishes to do before he dies which is better than shooting the movie in the hospital which doesn't make you bored there many adventures simple ones but still fun to watch. If you are into the drama movies with good story line and entertaining scenes this is a good choice not to forget its a touching movie.

Vlad_Imirivan See, 'awful' on this site means something terrible when in fact it originally meant something 'awe-ful'(wonderful) but then I suppose many word these day have been 'bent' these days to suit the 'bent' I am surprised that a 6.5 was given with no comments ??? any way.. I am giving it a 9 as I found it wonderfully thoughtful, tho somewhat withdrawn from the essential spirituality the child was seeking, and the rest of us with any common sense.. but then 'common sense is not so common these days' GK Anyway.. the movie and the acting were great, with the special touch of innocence we can all reminisce,.. perhaps a little to deep to leave under teens alone with
