It's hard to see any effort in the film. There's no comedy to speak of, no real drama and, worst of all.

I've been meaning to write a review about this film for the longest, and I can't believe I've let it go this long without giving it my attention. "Undercover Sex" is a softcore flick that does what any softcore flick worth its salt is supposed to do--dish out attractive naked women at regular intervals, not complicate things on the story side, and have good, if not great sex scenes. This film delivers for the most part, but it does have its weak spots.Beverly Lynne (quickly becoming a household name in the softcore realm) stars as Lanie Malone, a private detective investigating the murders of exotic dancers at a strip club. Of course, since no real leads are popping up, she decides to go undercover as a stripper to uncover the truth.Instantly, this is a CTCWB storyline--as in, "Crack The Case with Breasts" and Beverly doesn't disappoint. She learns her moves from a veteran stripper, Tawny (Wendy Divine) and quickly assimilates into the stripper culture. Meanwhile, she gets closer to finding out who the killer is.The sex scenes are plentiful, and most of them are pretty good. Beverly has the bulk of the work here, and I can't really blame her from being vocal during her scenes.As a Marc Greenberg-produced vehicle (from the softcore powerhouse MRG Entertainment), it stands up well against the best MRG has put out over the past few years. However, I can't give a high mark in the "Story" category simply because it's of the CTCWB variation. Otherwise, this movie is tapeworthy.Women: B+ (Beverly Lynne is an attractive woman, but Wendy Divine didn't look that great in this flick. The other women made up for her, but not enough to push this grade into the A range.) Sex: B+ (Solid,and sometimes good sex scenes. Beverly had a couple of nice ones.)Story: C+ (I can't really give a higher grade to a CTCWB movie than this. It executes the plot line as it should, even up to the main character having sex while working at the club.) Overall: B (A good grade for a good softcore flick. Beverly Lynne keeps cranking them out, and I guess I'll keep watching them. It looks like she's being pushed out there as the new "star" of the softcore world with the amount of work she's getting lately. "Undercover Sex" is good Skinemax fare, and might even get a second viewing from some folks out there.)
