Memorable, crazy movie

This is a coming of age storyline that you've seen in one form or another for decades. It takes a truly unique voice to make yet another one worth watching.

Strong acting helps the film overcome an uncertain premise and create characters that hold our attention absolutely.

An old-fashioned movie made with new-fashioned finesse.

I really enjoyed the film. It inspired me to visit many of the sites in Paraguay which on doing so i certainly didn't regret. The film tackles the demise of the train in Paraguay and the emotions experienced by people who remember fondly those days of "The train".The film conveys this message beautifully through stunning footage of old stations, train workshops, booking halls, overgrown train routes and bridges. The sound takes you back with many interviews with people who had very vivid memories of what the train brought to there town. A difficult subject tackled very well and a real pleasure to watch. The only negative for me is that i didn't want it to end.
