Treehouse Audience Reviews

Actuakers One of my all time favorites.
Konterr Brilliant and touching
Invaderbank The film creates a perfect balance between action and depth of basic needs, in the midst of an infertile atmosphere.
Neive Bellamy Excellent and certainly provocative... If nothing else, the film is a real conversation starter.
foutainoflife It has to be said, without shame, that I totally fell for this poster. I can not be the only one who looked at it and thought that there was a chance of seeing a twisted movie about some freakish child killer, who had been collecting folks and stringing them up in the woods of a small town. I just can't be. Please reassure me by hitting the yes button if this review ends up being helpful for you. I am not a snob when it comes to low budget horror. If you are a horror/thriller/mystery lover, you are all to aware that most movies that fall into this category struggle to get more than a 5 star IMDb rating. You are also aware that the struggle is due to independent viewer subjectivity. Simply put, some viewers want to see torture porn, while others prefer the slow burn. Another way of explaining this subjectivity could be broken down into horror subgenres. There are ghost, demonic possession, serial killers, creepy kids, dolls, clowns, monsters, the list just goes on and on. Someone who thought they were going to get a monster movie, with an awesome creature ends up seeing a ghost movie, they are going to give the movie a less than pleased review because they didn't get what they were expecting or wanting resulting in the low score we see and this is due to the way the movies are marketed. This poster is an example of that. There was a treehouse and yes, there were folks killed but I don't feel as though I got the movie that was marketed by this poster. As a fan of this genre though, I know that sometimes you just have to be willing to take the good with the bad and this is just one of those bad movies. The acting was low budget acting that had a few moments here and there. The atmosphere was tense in a few spots but the story, I felt, was all over the place and left so much to be desired that when the movie stopped, I simply sat there looking at the screen for a few minutes. The ending was so bad. It was a disaster of overacted attempts to twist the film in a few different ways that failed miserably. i will not be suggesting this movie to anyone but if I were still a teenager, I would order this poster, cut the word "Treehouse" from the bottom and hang it on my wall. It is just a cool poster and I wish I could've got movie that did it justice.
a_baron Here is a riddle for you, what is worse than a rubbish film? How about a film that is confusing rubbish? "Treehouse" starts reasonably well, and tries to build both atmosphere and suspense. At the end of the day though, the only thing it succeeds in breeding is confusion. A girl comes home to an empty house; we are led to believe her brother has been kidnapped. Small town America, there has apparently been a spate of such kidnappings, now the fair has been cancelled. We are led to believe that some thuggish teens may have something to do with this. Then our hero and his brother find the lost girl - by accident - in a treehouse out in the woods. There are numerous flashbacks and suggestions of supernatural influences. His brother leaves to get help and doesn't return. Maybe our hero and the girl are dead, and this is purgatory. They make their way to a deserted farmhouse, deserted but for the murdered occupant. Are the thugs or whatever they are responsible? You figure it out. In short, this film deserves all the rubbishing reviews it has received and then some: utterly confusing, utterly pointless, a waste of time, a waste, period.
Submarine Guest House To all these stupid actors and stupid directors, stop doing stupid movies please. Why? Because I don't believe any one will like to watch it. Unless if they are super stupid weird people with weird stupid psychology. A waste of your precious time to watch such a stupid movie. It's a shame that this called movie. I might say it's not a movie it's a begging act. As you will feel it like: please give us some jobs we don't have money Guys why don't you try to be PERFCT? What's wrong with that? If you have no budget for a movie then please don't even try to make one stupid wasted movie. In my opinion you cannot afford every piece of criticism around you. I have no idea why you guys allow yourselves to act such stupid acting, very stupid and out of date , give me a break you shameful fools
MattyGibbs Treehouse starts well and the opening scene suggests this may be a small budget gem however any hope of this is quickly extinguished. The premise is decent, young adults and children are being kidnapped and it all seems linked to a strange tree house. Unfortunately a very poor script never even gets close to tapping the films potential. There are plenty of superfluous scenes that add little or nothing to the story. Treehouse changes direction at the drop of the hat as if the writer didn't quite know what he wanted the film to be, slasher, supernatural or gritty thriller. As a result we just get a jumbled mess of a film that is at times confusing and at times boring.Although it's a pretty poor film, it's not a total write off as there are at least a couple of decent scenes and some of the filming is quite good. I can't really recommend this film and am probably being a bit generous giving it a 5 but I have seen far worse films.
