Very interesting film. Was caught on the premise when seeing the trailer but unsure as to what the outcome would be for the showing. As it turns out, it was a very good film.

Although I seem to have had higher expectations than I thought, the movie is super entertaining.

Easily the biggest piece of Right wing non sense propaganda I ever saw.

what a terribly boring film. I'm sorry but this is absolutely not deserving of best picture and will be forgotten quickly. Entertaining and engaging cinema? No. Nothing performances with flat faces and mistaking silence for subtlety.

These 19 minutes are a comic book movie in the truest sense of the word as, for pretty much the entire thing, we do not see any characters really moving. It is like watching a comic book and jumping from one picture to another. I personally do not like the style, but that is just personal preference. I cannot say something more pleasant about the story either. It's not a compelling watch and it actually rarely feels closely to the "Transformers" franchise. This is also why I do not only believe, for general audiences this may not be a good watch, but also not even for people who really love transformers. Maybe the only ones who could check this out are people that like "Transformers" and are huge comic book nerds. Everybody else can skip this one. It's actually difficult enough to find it, but if you manage, sadly the quality will not particularly reward you. Thumbs down.

Transformers Beginnings is the prequel to the 2007 Transformers Movie. It was release as a bonus DVD when you pick up the 2007 Transformers Film from Walmart. It's pretty much watching a comic book with voice overs with Peter Cullen and Frank Welker Reprising their roles as Optimus Prime and Megatron with Mark Ryan doing the voice of Bumblebee. In the prequel you learn about the history of the Transformers and the All Spark itself. The film itself could have been better if they had just made a short animated feature instead of just a comic book on screen. But being it came with the movie when it was release on DVD it's not that hard to complain. And if you're a fan of Transformers you might enjoy it and it's a short film so it shouldn't be hard to complain about it.It does have some good artwork in the comic books and the music is good as well. So yes it's for those who are fans of Transformers like myself.I give Transformers: Beginnings an 7 out of 10 Autobots Transform and Roll Out! Decepticons Attack!

It's basically a voiced-over comic book. The film is just a series of stills showing the events before the Transformers left their planet, and the human events since Megatron and the Allspark arrived. Some cheesy voice on the humans, but with Megatron / Prime's original voices from the cartoon. Mostly just uses the movie's soundtrack.Might be best watched AFTER the movie, since some of it's content will ruin surprises for you. I just happened across it out of luck, but you may need to eBay it now since it was only released with one of the limited editions of the movie. It has references to the cartoon, not just the movie, like Starscream's ambitions for leadership of the Decepticons.Overall, fairly nice for collectors but nothing to worry about if you only really liked the movie. Good for 20 minutes of fun if you're a Transformers fan.
