Python Hyena
Tomcats (2001): Dir: Gregory Poirier / Cast: Jerry O'Connell, Jake Busey, Shannon Elizabeth, Horatio Sanz, Jaime Pressly: Stupid teen sex comedy about a group of bachelors who bet on who can remain single the longest. When Jerry O'Connell loses big time in Vegas he makes a deal with the police woman who arrests him. Apparently a fellow bachelor stood her up and she accepts the task of helping O'Connell win. Familiar concept seems lifted from the superior American Pie. Directed by Gregory Poirier who does a fine job at spoofing other films throughout, which gives this perverted escapade some visual appeal. Despite its idiocy O'Connell plays off the humour effectively as a helpless victim of chance when assaulted with one sexual turnoff after another. Jake Busey plays a womanizer counter to O'Connell who will arrive at the same moronic climax as his competition with no sense of decency. Shannon Elizabeth as the police woman who becomes nothing more than a sexual prop. Is it difficult to predict that she and O'Connell will hook up? Horatio Sanz plays O'Connell's airhead friend. Jaime Pressly is featured so that Elizabeth can have competitive eye candy. Vulgar scenes include a testicle that makes an incredible journey onto someone's dinner plate. The purpose of this film is to feed off the success of American Pie thus becoming a pointless perverted orgy. Score: 4 / 10

The other night my cousins and I were watching some TV after midnight and we catch up the last 20 minutes of "Big Fish" and after that film "Tomcats" began. It was very late but the credits sequence was cool so we stay and the first beat in the film was really funny so we end up watching it until the end. That beat was between 4 or 5 friends and consist in never get married; they created a bank account so every day that passes, more money for the winner. Eventually everybody get married, except Michael and Kyle, and now the prize for the winner is $500,000. The story suddenly makes that Michael needs the money by the end of the week so he makes a plan and blah blah. After that we just forget about the beat and is all a love story, quite predictable by the way, and even the main character ends in a point when even he won the money, he doesn't care because of the love. But in that entire decent love story there are many funny moments especially for the sexual maniac that is Kyle and for Michael's bad experiences with women, even if they look like a pretty innocent girl or if they are the grandma of the innocent girl Eventually we have a really enjoyable time with this film without expecting something. So I think this film is the kind that if you have the chance to watch it just for coincidence in TV it will be a good way to have 90 minutes of pure entertainment.

This is surprisingly not that bad, and actually rather amusing, it was vulgar, but overall a pleasant time waster. All the characters are good, and the story is amusing enough, plus Jerry O'Connell was quite funny as the main lead as I really dug him. Shannon and Jerry had good chemistry together, and Jake Busey stole a lot of the scenes, plus one of the funniest moments in the movie for me is when a Doctor eats a testicle disgusting but funny. It had some pretty good music, and the ending really cracked me up, as it was quite clever, plus there is plenty of great eye candy to enjoy as well. Dakota Fanning had a cool cameo as a little girl in the park, and some of the gags are really tasteless, but I just couldn't help but find some of them hilarious, plus it's decently made and written as well. All the characters are very likable, and The outtakes at the end were funny as well, plus this should be a little bit higher then 4.6 in my opinion. Sure there were quite a few misses, but it never bored me, and I didn't regret watching it, however it's nothing special. This is surprisingly not that bad, and actually rather amusing, it was vulgar, but overall it was a pleasant time waster, worth the watch. The Direction is decent. Gregory Poirier does a decent job here with solid camera work, and keeping the pace fast enough, even if the jokes Wern't constantly funny. The Acting is actually somewhat fun. Jerry O'Connell is actually very funny and likable as the main lead, he never over does it, and was really born to play this role, he also had very good chemistry with Shannon Elizabeth, had a cool character, and made the film better with his excellent performance. Shannon Elizabeth is gorgeous, and does very well in her role here, she seemed to be having a lot of fun, and had a really likable character, she was also very sexy and, I just loved how she handled Jake Busey's character!. Jake Busey is great here, he stole a lot of the scenes, as the overly horny pig, but I just couldn't help but like him, as he was really funny, he was especially great at the end!. Horatio Sanz is funny as Steve, as I loved his reaction when he found his GF messing around with another woman, and they asked him to join them. Jaime Pressly is also gorgeous, and did very well with what she had to do, which was not much, but man was she ever sexy!. Dakota Fanning had a cool cameo. Heather Stephens was hot as the sexy red head mistress. Rest of the cast do fine. Overall worth the watch. **1/2 out of 5

I picked this movie of the DVD self wanting to see some teenage comedy and hot chicks. And that's exactly what this movie is. Nothing more, Nothing less. In the end credits there are some gags, I probably found the Michael and director (slight spoiler hint) one funnier than half the movie. I love these Teen flicks.
