Such a frustrating disappointment

I didn’t really have many expectations going into the movie (good or bad), but I actually really enjoyed it. I really liked the characters and the banter between them.

This movie feels like it was made purely to piss off people who want good shows
Scarlet
The film never slows down or bores, plunging from one harrowing sequence to the next.

Tom and Jerry are the faithful servants of Jack, the owner of a struggling storybook amusement park that gets a much-needed boost thanks to some mysterious magical beans. A re-imagined storyline of Jack and the Beanstalk starring Tom and Jerry with lot's of heart, humor but also even a bit of drama to say the least. If you love the two friends/enemies and this storyline in general you'll have a good time for sure but if not? Perhaps just skip it and watch something else cause you'll probably hate this movie for sure plus it's no 6,0. (A+)

The classic story of Jack and the Beanstalk is being retold with Tom & Jerry playing the role of Jack's loyal pets. Unfortunately it is as linear and as predictable as it gets, Tom and Jerry chasing each other or helping (sort of) Jack in his quest while the story presents absolutely nothing special, no twist, no suspense, just the ordinary happy ending. This is unfortunately another film where the producers thought that it is enough to include popular characters in a story and expect the best. They at least tried to include some musical moments but unlike what I was expecting, they were simply awful in every aspect. It wasn't enjoyable, it wasn't interesting, it was yet another failure of making use of great names like Tom & Jerry, Droopy and other Tex Avery creations. Pity

The film is far better than I expected.I watched it with my 5 year old son and he was thrilled. Length of about 50 minutes is quite adequate for a very young audience, which was apparently the target group of filmmakers. The characters are of course black and white (which is good), the film has plenty of action and fun, and it's a fresh way to process old story about Jack and the Beanstalk.Plus, the film is also a great way to explain to a 5 years old child what a mortgage is.My personal favorite is the giant's song, with his boasting of terrorizing the city populated by fairy tale characters.

I thought I knew what this movie would be about. I mean, what person doesn't know who Tom and Jerry and their story are? Lady owns a mouse and a cat, and these two adorable creatures fight nonstop with each other, until they get in a big problem, right? Wrong! "Tom and Jerry's Giant Adventure original movie" is a fun and adorable adventure for the whole family! The moment I turned on my TV to watch this move, I could see this would be a unique Tom and Jerry film. It has, of course - comedy, adventure, thrilling action and many more things all in one film! This movie surprises you with a story of a mouse and a cat who at the end are best friends despite their differences! The fun story begins when a young man wants to open an amusement park. The day it opens he meets a girl and falls in love with her. Years later the park gets run down and there's only a cat, a mouse and a cow left. The man passed away and left behind his son and wife. A man is going to destroy the park but instead, something very surprising happens when Jack, the son, goes to sell the cow. The movie is very entertaining and funny. The voice actors do a fantastic job of making you relate to their characters. If there is one thing to criticize is the fact that this animated movie feels a little rushed. This story is very different from the usual Tom and Jerry movies and definitely brings fresh air into this unique relationship between a mouse and a cat. My favorite scene is when the animals realize that they are losing their home and Jack sings a song to make them feel better. It's very catchy, and fun! Since this film is very child friendly and educational, I recommend it for ages 3 to 18. I give this movie 4 out of 5 stars because it is a tiny bit rushed and may be a bit confusing for younger kids because of that.Reviewed by Gerry O, KIDS FIRST! Film Critic.
