This is one of the few movies I've ever seen where the whole audience broke into spontaneous, loud applause a third of the way in.

The lead male actor stalks a female. Later he even clicks photos of the female on his phone without her consent. Later he even follows her everywhere along with a sidekick brother. This film has everything bad n all bad should be flushed down the toilet. The first 35 minutes were purely trash. A 50 year old acting like a 15 year, trying to woo a girl. Climbing trees n clicking photos of females..... no wonder there r so many perverts in India. R most Indian heroes Superman? Watch out what the lead male actor does to the iron rod.... Superb comedy scene man.

We're so used to love stories (between unmarried couples) who've to face hurdles and villains before they unite, that a love story like this, over a matter as trivial yet very important, between a (married) couple seems so fresh and unusual. The troubles he takes everyday and the arrangements he makes for his wife to go to the toilet provides moments full of laughter (due to the theme that it touches, the film in general is very funny) but is in every way very sweet too. It takes off further after she leaves him as he literally starts a war for the sake of his love.Only Akshay Kumar could've pulled off a role like this. Not many heroes of Bollywood can play the role of a common man, a villager as efficiently as he does - Ajay Devgn is another but he wouldn't have suited to a role that required a touch of comedy. Bhumi too plays the role of a stubborn, determined woman very well. A very likeble couple. The film is very informative too mind you. As an outsider, this was an eye-opener for me on many levels as I'd no knowledge of this kind of prohibition in the Hindu tradition and culture, although I'd refrain from commenting on the religion as almost every religion of the world has been twisted and misrepresented over centuries. Initially, since I'd no knowledge of it, I was at first not too unconvinced but then the references to their holy book gave me an idea as to how for a serious matter it is after all.A minor objection, and I don't exactly know why, but the ending looked a bit forced upon and out of place to me, especially how the Pundit was convinced through an accident of his own mother. Although not necessarily bad, but I would've ideally shown him to have been convinced through the way women of the village were harassed and were made photos and videos of. This would've changed his thinking and made him see the flaws in his argument in a more convincing manner. Some issues raised and dialogues said were gold, such as....."Women are the ultimate enemy of women," ... and.... "Very conveniently way lay the blame of everything upon the government."These are two of the many points that I always make. So, all in all, a very good film. Kudos to everyone involved!

Everything is superb in this movie. Watching such an entertaining movie after a looooong time. Story, dialogues, acting, songs... all very too good. I don't write movie reviews but after watching such a nice movie, wanted people not to miss it :) Akshay has come out really outstanding... performances by other fellow actors are equally good...Songs have been written, composed and sung very well... Seems like our legend Sonu Nigam is back with this movie...His voice really suits Akshay Kumar... For me it's 10 on 10 flick...

Well, the movie started at 1436 hrs and the director started to portray the theme to us after 2 hours into the movie. The summary of the first 2 hours of the movie is, (20 comedy punches+ 4Songs + NOTHING). Apart from the comic timings of a few scene, there was nothing in the first 2 hours of the movie. Yes, Bhumi was splendid along with Anupam, Sudhir, and Divyendu. But everything else about the movie stinks just like the title of the movie. You'll yawn throughout the movie if you're not intimidated by cheap jokes. This movie could've been made into a 1.5 hours flick, and if that was the case the rating would have shot from 1* to 7*. But the director wished to show a movie, 2.5 hours long, which is busy pushing the propaganda of the government. Yes! You heard me right. In this movie, you'll see that the Canadian National lead actor, Akshay Kumar has praised government directly or indirectly many times (20 minimum). And towards the end of the movie, they stooped so low that they called the step of De-demonetisation by Narendra Modi, a success. The whole theatre was laughing at that moment. I had to come out of the movie and had to check that whether the Indian Government was the official partner of the production unit. Because this movie served it's purpose very well. Anyways, this movie served the nation pretty well. In the times of fake news and forced illiteracy, this movie will be pushed. Also, there's a nationalistic wave after Indians got its Right Wing Government, so people will love to watch this movie, over and over again. For the love of India, for the love of the government. If I weren't a movie critic, I'd have walked out of the theatre in the first half, but I stayed and gave 1* rating for the enlightenment of fellow readers.
