Fast paced, taught, well written and acted action thriller. Waiting fora sequel. Vijay's performance is a revelation and the well paced direction and script is outstanding. It really redefines the action thriller genre in Tamil Cinema. None of the genre tropes are present, and the story ebbs and flows with such logic and ease. If every script that entered the Tamil film industry was at least half this standard, the quality of Tamil cinema would be world renowned and tenfold what it is today. Similar styled to Vishwaroopam, John Wickand the upcoming Thoongavanam, and maybe Yennai Arindhal, it should be revered more as an action classic. I hope Murgadoss and Vijay do team up again, Kaththi was a good but a tad of a misfire due to several shoehorned sequences, and AR Murgadoss needs to rein together the same creative team that made this movie, and plan and perfectly execute a taut sequel that would further the storyline along the lines a Bond or Mission Impossible movie. I do want to see Vijay, or rather Jagdish Dhanapal, to go against another worthy, I say again WORTHY adversary for this next film.

Thuppakki evokes a high voltage patriotism in the minds of the audience. This is where the movie succeeds. The concept of Sleeper Cells is new and characterization is super cool. Vijay has given his best. In every point of time, the audience stands connected with the film. The film has a soul to which audience is well connected. Several moments in the movie took the audience by surprise. This movie carries the Indian Cinema to new heights..Watch it out for a tight screenplay which is full on logic and patriotism. It's an in and out Vijay show. Vijay pulls off a stunner. This movie definitely deserves an applause and music by Harris Jeyaraj is excellent, carries the movie in high voltage throughout, although in certain instances you get a feel of repetition.. A.R.Murugadoss has done an excellent role in directing this film.Catch this movie..Superb..

Its really a good movie from the hero when comparing other movies of him.. But comparing other movies of director and cinematographer its a below average movie...1.acting-this is dreadful acting from everyone who acted in this movie expect from hero who acted well in this when comparing other movies of him...2.Plot- plot with too many holes..it lacks everywhere truly not justified...3.I expected much good screenplay from him, But it too failed to impress..4.The cinematography is good comparing the other movies of the hero but its below average when we compare the other movies of the world class cinematographer i expect more from him..5.The music and songs is too bad to hear and even to watch..Overall: This movie is good for hero fans .But really a awful movie when you are a fan of director,cinematographer,music director...
