It's fun, it's light, [but] it has a hard time when its tries to get heavy.

All of these films share one commonality, that being a kind of emotional center that humanizes a cast of monsters.

The seventies were Robert Charroux's heyday. His books about the E.T. who would have lived on earth a long time ago,the mysterious past, all that was part of the French zeitgeist.Even Hergé released a Tintin under Charroux's control "Vol 714 pour Sydney" (Flight 714)."Les soleils..." is Pierre Kast 's -perhaps unintentional- tribute to the writer. The "guests " arrive two by two, three by three,or alone .They're gathering on Easter Island :something very mysterious will happen. The statues were a sign which only initiated persons could decipher. Then IT happens.THEY are here and ready for contact. But as usual,if it's not successful ,blame it on man's nature.Let's hope the waiting will not take too long before the next opportunity.Odd and unique movie;deserves to be seen.
