AniInterview Sorry, this movie sucks
Hayden Kane There is, somehow, an interesting story here, as well as some good acting. There are also some good scenes
Matylda Swan It is a whirlwind of delight --- attractive actors, stunning couture, spectacular sets and outrageous parties.
Bootterra One of the highlights of Spongebob Squarepants. This movie (made for theaters) has animation better than the TV show at the time, and is super funny and kind of emotional at times.
Pjtaylor-96-138044 A joy to behold from beginning to end, this filmic adaptation of the beloved television show is considered by many to be the point at which the series essentially ended - as it marked the initial departure of the founding creative team - but it thankfully lived up to, and indeed exceeded, the expectations set by the first three seasons to become an incredibly funny, beautifully animated and effortlessly charming tale of everyone's favourite pineapple-dwelling sea sponge. 'The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie (2004)' is not only hilarious and incredibly smart, working both for kids and adults alike, but also surprisingly emotional and more-than-competent from a story stand-point too, becoming one of the most lasting and memorably smile-inducing animations of the twenty-first century. It's endearing, rib-tickling, smart, side-splitting, laugh-a-minute stuff. 7/10

Python Hyena The Sponge-Bob Square-Pants Movie (2004): Dir: Stephen Hillenburg / Voices: Alec Baldwin, Scarlett Johansson, Jeffrey Tambor, Clancy Brown / Cast: David Hasselhoff: Based on the popular kids animation, Sponge-Bob seems to represent a talent in the least likely. He is a square sponge of juvenile free spirit whom along with his starfish pal Patrick are assigned to journey to Shell City to reclaim the stolen crown of King Neptune and rescue their boss Mr. Krabs who has been frozen. Sponge-Bob is depressed after being passed up for promotion but schemer Plankton sets out to rule the world with plan Z, which takes affect right in their work environment. Flimsy setup follows a series of events to prevent Sponge-Bob from reaching Shell City. Ending succeeds mainly due to a cameo by David Hasselhoff that actually pays off with a laugh aimed at himself. Celebrity voices include Alec Baldwin voicing a hit-man named Dennis out to prevent Sponge-Bob and Patrick from completing their mission. Scarlett Johansson voices Princess Mindy who offers the encouragement needed to excel the heroes. Jeffrey Tambor voices King Neptune, and Clancy Brown voices Sponge-Bob's boss Mr. Krabs. Directed by Stephen Hillenburg with unfortunate flat animation. Characters are aimed at children making this poised squarely at Sponge-Bob fans. Score: 5 ½ / 10
