A Masterpiece!

The film's masterful storytelling did its job. The message was clear. No need to overdo.

Great movie. Not sure what people expected but I found it highly entertaining.

2 stars out of 10 for this one - ONLY because Edwige Fenech looks almost as good in a military uniform as she does naked. She is not in the movie that much though, despite her top billing, and she only gets naked once or twice. No, most of the running time is devoted to the "comedy", which primarily revolves around farting, but finds space for equally sophisticated subjects such as fat women and retarded men. Seriously, even the most fanatic Edwige fans should avoid this film, it's a total waste of her and probably one of the worst things she has ever been associated with. There is not even one funny gag, and barely any moments of sensuality.

Sequel to "La Soldatessa alla visita militare", and for all intends and purposes "La Dottoressa del distretto militare", though technically Edwige Fenech played another character in that one. She returns as Eva Marini to the camp of oversexed soldier boys and this time they are ready for her: placing a two way mirror in her quarters as soon as she gets there. Love interest Michele Gammino, who played some kind of Beast-man last time, now puts on his usual suave Casanova style and is after Eva from the very beginning (an actual story arc!). Although Edwige walks around in a medical uniform most of the time, she never seems to be doing any doctoring, and even less soldiering. All these loose fitting clothes make her look a bit chubbier than usual, but not to worry: La Fenech wears four different outfits in this film and she strips out of all of them.New additions to the cast are Lino Banfi as the good chaplain with an eating disorder and Gianfranco D'Angelo as the head physician/dentist. This means the entire Italian Carry On gang is present for roll call: Renzo Montagnani is still the Colonelo, and has a monocle this time. Because monocles are funny. He also has an overbearing mother who gives him nightmares and a tendency to walk in his sleep. Alvaro Vitali and Lucio Montanaro head the pranksters in the barracks. They especially like to pick on their sergeant, Jacques Stany. Least but not last, Nino Terzo with his trademark speech impediment assists the doctor in experimenting on the inaccurately named Jimmy il Fenomeno. For the first time, there are several disgusting women to go along with this bunch of despicable men. Even more nauseating is that Vitali and Montanaro want to have sex with all of them. They continually lust after a red headed wine stained beast woman as well as an enormous hooker who cant even get up off her bed and belongs on Jerry Springer. They even bother a Gladys Ormfby lookalike who works at the local taverna and is obviously played by a man. In a stunning twist of fate, it is this transvestite who spies through a peep hole into the mens-room instead of the other way around. By comparison, Edwige Fenech has it relatively easy. Suddenly a Mussolini lookalike general arrives to play war games and Edwige proves she can outsmart any man (yet still succumbs to Mischelle Gammino). All these different bits and pieces are slightly better paced and edited together than usual, although there is still a distinct lack of a strong narrative. I'ts like watching three or four episodes of a situation comedy rolled into one. 7 out of 10
