makayla This movie was different in that it didn't show the typical gay stereotypes that I'm used to seeing. But that doesn't change the fact that it totally lacks a storyline. I'm sure that there are many gay men who are just happy to see themselves depicted on screen, since Black gay characters are seldom seen, and when they are the characters are usually not fully developed. But, how hard would it have been for the writer to actually script a story with a beginning, middle and end. Or how about a story that was focused. There really doesn't seem to be a point to this film, and even though it is a low budget film, that is still no excuse for the lack of story or plot.

w999999p I am actually surprised that more people did not like the film. I know that it was "low-budget", but a lot of good movies are "low-budget" and are still worth watching. I think the storyline was very fresh and rarely seen: Black gay men living in New York and dealing with life after 30 and there is hope, love and even a few laughs to help you make it through. I think also that it showed the diversity that exists even within the black same-gender loving community. The characters were ones that we were familiar with...or so we thought and then now they are presented in a different light, which makes us think about them, and perhaps ourselves, differently. Honestly, as soon as the movie started and I saw the tell-tell "low-budget" look to the set, I wanted to turn it off, but, I am glad that I gave it a chance and it proved itself worthy.

willroad61 I viewed this movie on LOGO in July and have watched it many times since. I found some of the characters warm and endearing, while others were over the top, and since this is what real gay life is like, I think it works well. Loved the soundtrack. I liked the fact that it was low budget and didn't focus on flash and pizazz. An entertaining film. I'd like to see more, continue the story lines of these characters, even the 'bitchy' ones showed that friends are friends. The 'stud' even had an intelligent side, which in real life I have yet to find (although I am sure it's out there). This movie is so much better than some of the other gay fare I have come across in past years.

forcededucation I too saw this movie on LOGO (MTV's new gay channel); and let's just get this out in the open right now. This is by far one of the gayest movies I have ever seen in my life. But it is so flamboyant and silly that it's humorous in an offbeat sort of way. The basic plot is there is a guy who takes his entire gay crew and two lesbians on a ski trip and madness ensues; somebody gets pregnant and two guys relationships are tested all while taking a trip in some cabin in the winter. Sure it's dumb, sure most of the stuff that happens in the end is unrealistic but it is still worth checking out. Not to mention LOGO is showing this movie on a rotation all week for the foreseeable future so check it out if you don't have anything better to do and admit it you probably don't.
