rollex-480-598013 With the name Sandlot you expect the movie to be pretty good since the original was such a good one. The Sandlot 2 is nothing compared to the original; the acting is horrible, characters are not realistic and its overall just a terrible attempt to remake the first movie with more up to date plot for today. It is a movie you can put on for a child to watch and not worry about them learning any bad words or anything like that though. So I will give it 2 stars just because its one of those movies I can put on and not worry about my little guy learning a new word he should know.

SnoopyStyle It's 1972, 10 years after the original movie. A new group of kids play at the Sandlot. Johnnie is the little brother of the original's Scott Smalls. He's launching a rocket when David Durango and his friends confront him. He almost burns the dugout down and only saved by Hayley Goodfarier living next to the Sandlot. Later, Hayley and her two girl friends dare to show up on the field. David faces off against her underhand pitching and they decide to join forces. When the ball goes over the wall, Johnnie recounts The Great Fear.There is a nostalgic love for the original which is always going to be trouble for any sequel. This is essentially mission impossible. The original has a timeless perfection which this one struggles with. The addition of girls is an interesting turn. It's fun to twist the "You play like a girl" insult. The sense of time and place is not quite up to snuff. The small contained coming-of-age world is lost to some degree. The kiss at the carnival is the first good moment although the tag at the plate should have been a dropped ball. As it stands, it's simply a hard play and not a dirty play. Samantha Burton is not a natural actress. It's obvious she's there for her ball skills and she's also pretty cute. The acting from the kids are uneven but they do kinda grow on me. The cat claw contraption is hilariously childlike. It's reminiscent of the original but inferior. This could be a lot worse.

Nan Gause Yes it's far too similar to the first, but the storyline is far more appealing. The group of kids is more realistic and diverse in a small town, which are the kids who would be playing at a sandlot. Instead of them being the only kids who play baseball, there is also I more superficial team who are their rivals, that play on a real team. In any small town, sports are the main priority, but you don't have to be self absorbed to be a part of it., which is why they seclude themselves from that. Which is where a lot of people throw bad reviews come in. These are the kids who aren't. They're playing for the love of the sport not because they're good at it or have been placed into it by their parents. I think anyone from a small town realizes this and embraces this movie because of that reason. The characters are great, and nothing is over bearing. Just diverse, and not typical. In my opinion it was a lot better than the first. It just really means a lot to me coming from a small town and not being one of the typical, it just makes a lot more sense; honestly.

First of all the jokes are so stupid and make no sense.If you haven't watched this movie than don't are you will be sorry.I also feel sorry for people that haved watched this movie.This is offense to the first sandlot.I almost stopped watching the movie halfway though it and I have never done that with any other movie I watched.Who ever made this movie should be put in jail because thats how bad this movie is.The actors sucked I think I could do a better job.The only way I would watch this movie again is if someone gave me a billion dollars.It wasn't even a sequel because it was the same plot of the first sandlot but this one was just terrible and got the worst actors possible and the jokes sucked.
