It's not great by any means, but it's a pretty good movie that didn't leave me filled with regret for investing time in it.

Wow! What a bizarre film! Unfortunately the few funny moments there were were quite overshadowed by it's completely weird and random vibe throughout.
Quiet Muffin
This movie tries so hard to be funny, yet it falls flat every time. Just another example of recycled ideas repackaged with women in an attempt to appeal to a certain audience.

The twists and turns of the plot as well as the splendid acting by Hamlin and Amick who supply equal animus to the product are outstanding for a B-film. There are many non sequiturs that could have been edited out through a couple of rewrites. There is a love-hate relationship between the two characters which is intriguing and lures the viewer as the movie moves along. The HUNTER has numerous opportunities to kill his PREY. Yet he never does. He has killed before without so much as a second thought. As he says during the hunt: the emotion (fear and aggression) is truly exhilarating. She begins to feel it reluctantly. One of the last scenes indicates that she gets the drift and takes over. The last scene shows that her life and the way she looks at life is forever changed (which way?).Take this plot and the two main actors and a couple of rewrites and better supporting cast and end result could be a winner.I ordered a copy of one of films on which this film is based as was recommenced by a previous commentator (I think it is WOUNDED) and look forward to seeing it.

The Hunted (1998) is a very good film that has a good cast which includes Harry Hamlin, Mädchen Amick, Hannes Jaenicke, Enuka Okuma, Robert Moloney, Peter LaCroix, Fulvio Cecere, Peter Bryant, Andy Thompson, Terence Kelly, Garvin Cross, Sean Campbell, and Carly McKillip! The acting by all of these actors is very good. Harry Hamlin and Mädchen Amick are really excellent in this film. I thought that they performed good. The thrills is really good and some of it is surprising. The movie is filmed very good. The music is good. The film is quite interesting and the movie really keeps you going until the end. This is a very good and thrilling film. If you like Harry Hamlin and Mädchen Amick, Hannes Jaenicke, Enuka Okuma, Robert Moloney, Peter LaCroix, Fulvio Cecere, Peter Bryant, Andy Thompson, Terence Kelly, Garvin Cross, the rest of the cast in the film, Action, Mystery, Thrillers, Dramas, and interesting films then I strongly recommend you to see this film today!

Amick makes a solid centerpiece as she runs from tree to tree and pillar to post in this lame drama about an insurance investigator who goes deep into a Canadian forest to retrieve $12 million from a downed aircraft...armed with her lipstick and assorted cosmetics. "The Hunted", just another of a zillion or so people-hunting-people flicks, is trite, simple minded, predictable, and full of plotholes. An okay shoot, the story fails early on urging the thumb to inch toward the fast-forward button. Passable and forgettable. (D+)

What's with the white dog/wolf? Where was the watch dog when Sam came back to the cabin? Where was the watch dog when the cabin burned? How did Doc get out of the cabin? How did this city woman find her way around in the bush? There are more holes.Does whoever make this movie think audiences are so stupid that they won't notice?
