As Good As It Gets
Nayan Gough
A great movie, one of the best of this year. There was a bit of confusion at one point in the plot, but nothing serious.

Exactly the movie you think it is, but not the movie you want it to be.

The film's masterful storytelling did its job. The message was clear. No need to overdo.

This movie is supposed to take place in Milford NJ. I know the house that it is based on as well as the person. As you see at the end of themovie, she was killed in the world trade center incident. I know that, because I was one of the police officers that helped with the identification of her remains. (She was the only one in our area lost). The nudity in the movie went a bit far. I am not a prude but the actors could have filmed the scene with the two woman without actually showing the whole thing. This movie is in poor taste and I cannot see how her family would give there blessing to it. This is an insult to the person whom it is based on.

This indie horror movie benefits greatly from the inclusion of two of my favorite cult movie sirens Debbie D & Deana. Both lovely ladies have been featured in various low budget movies and their combined body of work in these type of movies is stunning. Debbie and Deana are two of my favorite indie starlets because they are always fun and sexy in these things. It's always a pleasure to view their latests projects and these bewitching video vixens have proved themselves to be quite gifted at heating up my small screen in a variety of roles in various indie flicks. This time they almost melted my TV! Deana & Debbie devotees wont want to miss this one.

considering the brevity of the film (approximately 40 min. in length). Angela Webb (Deana Demko) was certain that her vacation house in New Jersey was haunted, and to prove her point, she invited two psychics (Michael R. Thomas and June Marlowe) to visit, then to a party, to show them that she wasn't imagining things. There are ghosts, all right - one sitting on the front porch, one hanging out in the barn, one in the bedroom...This is a true story, and the house does exist - I had the privilege of speaking to Karl Petry, the director, during the making of the film, and he told me about visiting the house. He told me that while he was there, furniture moved from one side of the living room to the other, without anyone touching it.If you're looking for some good Halloween films to scare yourself with, you should definitely include this one on your list.

The Ghosts of Angela Webb is a low budget film, but one that is well done and is good mix of a couple of different genres. Two New York psychics visit the colonial era home of Angela Webb in New Jersey to investigate the hauntings that are going on there, and they discover several different ghosts while touring the house. Angela does some investigating on her own and even meets the institutionalized former owner, and learns the house has a long and bloody past. The ending is a surprise, and the last scene where we seen Angela is extremely creepy. This is not a movie for kids, as the film has a lot of nudity and blood, but it shows how imagination and creativity can lead to a quality picture.
