Sophie ~ I was glad when it ended is all I can really say. The whole thing was terrible, there was no action, the zombies were rubbish and it was /so/ boring. I didn't buy a zombie movie to sit and watch two people walking and driving around the desert for hours and the ending was rubbish as well. The whole film was basically pointless. Also some of the scenes felt like they were just chucked in at the last minute to drag the film out a bit more or something. I don't know. I generally can't think what the logic behind this film could be. Don't bother watching this, it's a waste of time. Out of all the zombie movies I've seen this is by far the worst and I definitely would not recommend it.

Uriah43 "Lt. Brian Murphy" (Rob Freeman) is a flight engineer working in a mercenary capacity somewhere on the West Coast of Africa when a zombie epidemic suddenly hits. He tries to get the last available airplane ready for flight but when the airfield gets overrun the decision is made to takeoff anyway. As expected the airplane doesn't travel very far before ditching into the ocean killing all of the passengers but him. He manages to make it to the shore but now finds himself in hostile territory with zombies everywhere. Literally. In any case, this is a standard zombie film which doesn't contain fast action, well-known actors or enhanced computer graphics. So if that's what you're looking for then this film is not for you. On the other hand, it doesn't abandon its principles by turning out a product that pretends to be "so bad it's good" either. Again, some folks might not like it. That said, I will admit that there are portions which seem to drag. Likewise, there is no humor and very few scenes which will startle a viewer. It's dry and mundane. But if you're a zombie fan then I think you will appreciate it for what it is all the same. I rate it as average.

mayoryana Watched on a recommendation. Wrong. This movie is terrible, the acting, the writing. Numerous "why would you even do that" moments. They tried hard, they failed hard. The 2 lead actors did a decent job, but the acting of the zombies was pretty awful. I like the fact it was set during the day which is rare for zombie movies, but it simply meant there was even less suspense. The zombies move so awkwardly and so slowly there is absolutely no tension. Even in the scenes where there "should" be tension, all I could think was that the protagonists could easily escape with a brisk (perhaps even slow) walking pace. There are also a few scenes that require one to suspend any sort of critical thinking. I had zero emotional attachment to either of the protagonists and the ending was very predictable. All in all, save yourself an hour or so and watch something else. Almost anything else.

Ben Larson Howard and Jonathan Ford did their homework. In this film, they give us real zombies, not those creatures who run and jump, but zombies, the walking dead, slow and steady. You can actually use you wits to escape. It is so refreshing to see a return to the classics.Lt Brian Murphy (Rob Freeman from Saving Private Ryan and Pumpkinhead: Blood Feud) teams up with an African soldier, Sgt Daniel Dembele (Prince David Oseia in his first international role) to find a way home. They make a good team, both playing well off the other.The beautiful landscape of Burkina Faso and Ghana are prominent in this film.It was a pleasure to watch.
