I don't have all the words right now but this film is a work of art.

The story-telling is good with flashbacks. The film is both funny and heartbreaking. You smile in a scene and get a soulcrushing revelation in the next.

It’s not bad or unwatchable but despite the amplitude of the spectacle, the end result is underwhelming.

Let me be very fair here, this is not the best movie in my opinion. But, this movie is fun, it has purpose and is very enjoyable to watch.

I thought, with a title like this it's got to be a horror story but by two thirds into the movie I had convinced myself how wrong I was. An evil Jinn puts a curse on a beautiful princess and keeps her away from a world of possible Princes that may awake her. Well you just can't get anymore Disney than that can ya? But I'm older these days and had forgotten how scary Disney movies could get. Even with the dead giveaway at the base of operations, just before the ending, l was still rooting for Rose. My only question now is, will they finish it?6 stars, not scary, to me at least, minus 1 star for the Crypt Keeper's cousin's cameo. For a total of five stars

Having one of those "I can't go to sleep" nights so I pull up the Netflix and find this movie while browsing. I have to say that I usually don't watch movies after the first 15 minutes if they don't catch my attention, but this was an exception as the acting by Peck and slightly intriguing mystery were enough to keep me watching to see if it got better. It did get better and if you like mystery, a little bit of "jump out and scare you", mixed with a bit of humor then I urge you to watch this movie. I was quite disappointed in the ending. It leaves it set up for a sequel, but I haven't seen any information that a sequel is in the works. It will be rather disappointing if there is no sequel. Kind of like your just getting to the good part of a movie on TV and the power goes out with no chance of ever being able to see the rest of the movie.

I give it 9 out of 10 only because the ending slightly tormented me but it also surprised and delighted me which is hard to do. I go to every horror movie festival I can and watch loads of them online and I tend to guess endings for horror movies and am almost always right, so much so that it has taken some enjoyment away for me. But I did not guess this plot and I had great appreciation for the writer for that. I also really loved the humorous and realistic dialogue! That was great, how natural it felt, how real the characters felt in a very make believe setting which helped ground it. If you know you already like horror and liked the movies Insidious, The Conjuring, The Village, The Visit, HoneyBee, Lights Out, It Follows, then I bet you will like this one a lot.

I went into watching this movie thinking it would be one of those movies that would be so horrible that it would make me laugh. It was not one of those. I found it quite compelling for what it was, and rather enjoyed it. It's obviously a lower budget film. If you watch this knowing and accepting it for what it is, not expecting high quality effects, then it is enjoyable. I felt they did well at creating the suspense and creepiness with what they had. The actors really brought this to life. They made it more believable. The main actor was great. He portrayed the pain and confusion well. Even when the sets were a touch lack-luster and less believable, he conveyed the emotions to make it seem more real than it looked. The ending seems to be where most people have an issue. I won't go into detail as I would rather avoid spoilers. I can see how people would find it rushed. The beginning of the movie moves slower and builds suspense, then the end moves a bit faster. However, I liked the ending. I found it to be different, if this were a Hollywood movie it would have a Hollywood ending, it is not that, do not expect that.Addition observation: The house was beautiful, imagine what that place looks like all cleaned up.
