Grimerlana Plenty to Like, Plenty to Dislike

Maidexpl Entertaining from beginning to end, it maintains the spirit of the franchise while establishing it's own seal with a fun cast

Merolliv I really wanted to like this movie. I feel terribly cynical trashing it, and that's why I'm giving it a middling 5. Actually, I'm giving it a 5 because there were some superb performances.

Yazmin Close shines in drama with strong language, adult themes.

ccthemovieman-1 The Irish group gives its first big concert, playing in London's famous Albert Hall in 1997. After reading great reviews on this, and being a fan of Celtic music, I was enthused about watching this, buying the DVD sight-unseen.I wound up disappointed. The visuals weren't as good as I had anticipated and the songs, especially in the first half of the show, sounded too much the same. Once I stopped ogling the pretty women performers the music came more to the forefront. That music is pretty solid - good singing and good instrumentation - but nothing spectacular. If I just want music, I'll buy the CD but for a DVD, I want some decent visuals, too, or a much-improved 5.1surround sound, neither of which were offered here. If the visuals aren't special, why bother? Just buy the CD.This is a pleasant 80-some minutes of pop music with an Irish twinge but that's it.

mikusfikus This is the first Corrs concert to ever feature on DVD and it comes from one of the most important performances of their career playing live on the BBC to a British audience on St Patricks Day. The concert features songs from their two multi-platinum selling albums: Forgiven, Not Forgotten and Talk On Corners. The performance is great and you can really see how this band began to sound musically on stage, sticking to the original studio recording as opposed to their live show in Live at Lansdowne Road concert some years later. Some notable moments include "Queen Of Hollywood" where Andrea's performance is done with such passion, she is nearly brought to tears. Other highlights include Mick Fleetwoods appearances and some interesting lighting difficulties is noticed in the background during "Joy Of Life"(one of the projected 'The Corrs' symbols is up side down so you see it being corrected throughout the instrumental LOL). This DVD contains no bonus material but the concert is quite enjoyable enough alone.

eekie-1 This concert is superb. This is without a doubt the best concert ever released by the Corrs. Like Mick Fleetwood said: Playing with passion. Truly amazing.

ajcorr am not quite fond of concert videos but watching this makes you want to see more of the corrs' performances, watched it several times already but just can't seem to get tired of it, why? go figure ;) ... just great!
