I am only giving this movie a 1 for the great cast, though I can't imagine what any of them were thinking. This movie was horrible

Well, they managed to at least give you hope with the name, but I am sure Tarsem Singh and anyone who was a follower of the first film shed a tear of disgust over this poorly made sequel.Poor acting, poor story, poor cinematography, poor directing, poor editing.I have never ranked a movie with one star, and I would have given it less if I could.I loved all of Tarsem Singh's films and am sad to see such a good directors hard work go to shame because of a poorly made sequel.I can only hope that whoever stared in this film was sad to do so.

FBI Agent Maya has developed the ability of psychically connect with other people after being murdered six times and brought back to live by the sadistic serial-killer Cusp. Now she is tracking down the infamous criminal through his mind using a device to protect herself but after an unsuccessful manhunt, she quits the FBI. One year later, when the niece of Sheriff Harris is abducted by Cusp, Maya's former chief Kassel summons her back to the investigation. Maya teams up with Harris trying to save his niece Penelope, but her time is short and she must risk her own safety to help the young woman......Yet another quick Dollar made by movie studios who think it's a good idea to cash on a semi successful movie released a few years prior.like 8mm 2, and the net 2.0, this has virtually nothing to do with the original, apart from the first five minutes, and the rest of the movie, is bland, uninvolved and badly acted/edited.Seeing that this is directed by someone who produced and directed several episodes of '24' this is one major feat, making something virtually unwatchable.and the inclusion of frank Whaly, just gives the game away the instant he appears on the screen.the effects are turgid and laughable, the script and story is dire, and it becomes a shambles come the end.Do yourself a favour, read the other reviews and believe them, it truly is this bad.the unfortunate thing is, we are going to be 'treated to other movies like this for years to come, and we will keep watching them, just for a miracle to come along.

words cant even describe this turkey; Acting: HORRIBLE this reminded me of watching a high school play and was about as entertaining as watching amateur golf in slow motion...Wardrobe: wow did anyone notice that "FBI" agents plastic badge i have seen more realistic crap from the 99 cent store Storyline: ........I found myself laughing insanely i mean how did this make it off paper on to DVD.. IT could have been done with 3 characters the killer the victim and the cop the rest of the cast was useless..I cant even write anymore... i wish i had 4 hands so i could give this movie 4 thumbs down.. NOTE TO SELF.... WRITE A LETTER TO GOD AND BEG HIM FOR MY 2 HOURS BACK...

The movie The Cell had impressed me with its imaginative visual effects, and at the same time,it had bored me with its story, which made us to swallow an absurd premise. On that film, director Tarsem Singh had shown talent on the visual aspect, but he had also shown inability for getting an adequate rhythm and tone to complement the story.Now,9 years later,we have the disastrous sequel of that film. But,on this sequel,we unfortunately do not have Singh's visual creativity,so the final experience is even more boring than the first film.Actress Tessie Santiago could be politely described as a mediocre actress; however,I dare to speculate that she was not hired because of her doubtful level of talent, but because her face is like a combination between Jennifer López (the main actress from the original film) and Eva Longoria. The producers from this film may have thought that hiring Santiago to work on this movie would be an attractive element to the Latin spectators.Whatever the case is,she brings a very mediocre performance.Replacing Singh as a director,we now have Tom Iacofano, who has directed episodes from series like Smallville,24 and Supernatural. His "direction" in this movie is disastrous on every single aspect. The parts on which his horrible work is most noticed is on the sequences which are set inside the mind of killer for many aspects but mainly, because they seem to be extracts from an 80's video-clip,for the extremely poor visual style.Iacofano's laziness on his work is absolutely insulting for the spectator. The Cell 2 is pure and absolute rubbish, and it is so bad that all the copies from this "film" should be burnt on fire. The only reason I do not rate this movie with a 1 is because the sequence on the helicopter near the end provoked a few accidental laughs on me.
