The Bronze Audience Reviews

Cathardincu Surprisingly incoherent and boring
Titreenp SERIOUSLY. This is what the crap Hollywood still puts out?
BallWubba Wow! What a bizarre film! Unfortunately the few funny moments there were were quite overshadowed by it's completely weird and random vibe throughout.
Nicole I enjoyed watching this film and would recommend other to give it a try , (as I am) but this movie, although enjoyable to watch due to the better than average acting fails to add anything new to its storyline that is all too familiar to these types of movies.
Ding Not quite useful, just personal opinion.Good movie. In this movie I saw an American who loves her town deeply, a girl who finally wakes up and a woman who grows up.I have watched the movie for extra three times, not for the sex scenes (maybe), but to find out who is Bradley. :)
sherilyndavis I'm appalled by the amount of foul language, and lack of morals and values.I have young children that enjoy gymnastics and I would not want them to view this show. Overuse of the "F" bomb. A coach that is a horrible mentor. Promotes sex at young ages. Not funny. I'd rather the producer's focus on inspiring up coming Olympic athletes without the sexual innuendo's.
er_ouz The story of a has-been crass and spoiled Olympic bronze medal gymnastic reluctantly turned coach, which along the way finds her way again. The plot is robust enough, though the idea that an Olympic medalist would become so spoiled and undisciplined seems a little weird to me. A nice cast, unusual subject matter and interesting characters all could have made for a good comedy. Unfortunately- this movie lacks the most important trait a comedy should have; it isn't funny. There are very little to no jokes, and the crass foul manners of the lead role become uninteresting very fast.Without being funny, the movie is left to it's bare devices. Fortunately most of the other aspects of the movie are not that bad- the acting is decent, the plot holds, the script is event filled and interesting enough to hold the viewers attention for the duration of the film, cinematography is good, and even in a specific moment (final exercise)- inspired. It's just such a shame the movie isn't funny... because all of the other elements combined only make for a very mediocre film, which I expect to completely forget by next week.
jackburto Hope is the name of the character that Melissa Rauch plays in "The Bronze". She plays a gymnast that is ripe for the gold until she injures herself, ultimately ending her career. Hope is an unsocialized product of home schooling by a single parent. In order to motivate Hope, her father dangles a false monetary reward to train an up and coming gymnast. This movie was difficult to watch for me as I am accustomed to seeing Melissa play Bernadette in The Big Bang Theory. Their characters are as different as night and day. Watching her play this role was similar to watching Lauren Graham in Bad Santa. In fact, the makers of The Bronze must have had the movie Bad Santa in mind when making it because Melissa was a female version of Billy Bob Thornton's role. If you are a Bernadette fan, then stay away from this movie.
