Absolutely Brilliant!

In truth, there is barely enough story here to make a film.

The story, direction, characters, and writing/dialogue is akin to taking a tranquilizer shot to the neck, but everything else was so well done.

It's not easy deliver the same character as per the script, Ranbir once again proves that he is the only actor of this generation who dare to act out of way movie like Tamasha. He did extraordinary performance in the movie and Deepika also done great job by living her character, here I also want mention one important is that many time it was happened in many movies where actor and direction, editor losses it's control on movie and then it's never meet the mind of audience. But Imtiaz Ali did best part on his end, fabulous story and excellent direction. This movie is not for those who loves typical masala bollywood movie, it's an "Art" who gives you chance to think inner side of you're soul and mind.

Be Aware --Spoiler Warning-- This movie is so bad that I created an account just to warn what little number of people I could. This is Bollywood's "American Sniper" only to be appreciated by racists hiding the real reason why they loved this movie. The reason why this movie has such a high average score is due to racism against white people and western societies in India. No, I do not hate the Indian people but every country has a fair share of racists, especially Eastern societies. This shameless movie slams the white European in almost every single scene. Its first scene in Europe is a miserable Indian woman begging a French speaking Italian for a phone call. He continues to decline her desperate request saying:'No money, no call'. The problem here is that she ends up begging half the city, as she explains later on, and no one helped her. NO ONE!!! The only person who did is a fellow Indian. OFF COURSE. Still not convinced? Let us try another scene because this movie is filled with racism. In another scene, they convinced random people at a restaurant that the woman is a famous actress and the guy is a famous movie director. The same people that wouldn't give her a PHONE-CALL invited them to dinner because white people are idiots who worship celebrities. But it gets even worst. He ended making up one of the most obviously fake scene which he is acting in the most stupid way, and not only did they believe it, they applaud him. Yeah right because Europe does not know proper cinema RIGHT?! Still not convinced? trust me the racism continues in many other scene like the one in which they make a bet which is the following, whoever succeeds in attracting and convincing someone to buy him a drink first wins. The girl succeeds in her first attempt but get this, she doesn't even bother having some manners. She simply calls the French guy; 'Hey, you over there!' and when the man replies; 'me?' she says : yes you, go buy me a drink!!' When did THAT ever happen in real life? are European women THAT ugly and do European men lack THAT much self-esteem? and what a coincidence!! the very first man is like that!! Trust me, you don't want me to start talking about that pathetic company meeting scene. A LOT of racism exists there. My problem is that even though half the movie takes place in Europe, not a single decent European character is ever displayed, EVER. They are either selfish, rude, stupid or pure evil as shown in the Company meeting scene. They should be ashamed of themselves participating in this slander. The funny thing is that the main actress in this movie is trying to kick-start her career in the Western White Hollywood. I thought they are a collection of human scum!! Why would you want to work there? Is it the Israelite that you like? The heroine is a foul-mouthed whore of Babylon and let me tell you why. Back when she was begging the man for a phone call which she never had, she actually cursed in Indian and ended the sentence with 'thank you' giving him the impression that she said something nice. She actually said 'you are cheap, I am a son of a Dog'. So now, every time she sees him he says 'hi, I am son of a dog' in Indian thinking he is saying something cute and she replies 'yes you are'. Very funny. She meets a guy and in less than half-a-day and she sleeps with him because why not?! Then she leaves him going back to India without prior notice telling him: 'we will never meet again'. WOW what a bitch!! The rest of their dialogue is just as stupid and low. Earlier when they just met, they get in his room and start a joke about her being a slut negotiating the price for her services which depends on what he wants to do. That's another 5 minutes of endless cursing and stupid dick and anal-sex jokes. VERY CREATIVE!! I couldn't continue to watch after 50 minutes because I was just insulting myself by then. AVOID IT

This movie is among the best movie of Bollywood. With fantastic story line and superb acting this movie certainly deserves a high status. Not to mention the music given by legendary A.R Rehman is extraordinary as usual and the music and the chore is undoubtedly the soul of this film. Another class movie from Imtiaz Ali, I should say the best among his all other films. The philosophy of this film might be unintelligible to some viewers so one should be prepared to catch the soul idea of the film while watching the film. A must watch for viewers who love to watch some different kind of films with philosophical idea. I would have given the film 9/10 but the overall rating of this film is too low. This film certainly deserves at least 8+ rating.

This is one of the movies you see and either you love it or you hate it.I am in the former category. In fact it touches you very deeply and the feeling stays with you until you bury it in your mundane routine life, like the protagonist in the first half.It carries a very strong message for all of us ,who are buried deep in our routines, responsibilities and obligations. The one thing we all kill before becoming adults is our childhood, but do we actually need to do it ,or can they harmoniously coexist . This is important because its our childhood which tells us that we are special and can do the things we actually love to do. somewhere down our lives we simply forget it and start following the herd. The movie makes us reflect on this. It has brilliant acting by Ranbir and deepika ,and awesome music and background score.
