Those who view films as art and enjoy abstract film-making processes will doubtlessly enjoy it for the depth, ambiguity, and meaning, while those of us who care more for concrete, old-fashioned narrative likely won't. I found it a chore to sit through, an overlong drama about a young couple working on the ultimate work of art. There's a twist ending of sorts and a metaphorical story about a painting coming to life in a novel way. I found the British actress in it deeply annoying with her over-the-top performance.
