Stephen Mckimmie In my opinion,good comedy films are become less and less frequent. In the case of 'Someone Marry Barry',this is completely not the case. This film has more of an original idea for a comedy film,unlike many comedies you come across nowadays.It has you laughing pretty much all the way throughout the film,and I admit there were certain parts of the film I found so funny I rewound the scene more than once. (e.g. the scene in the car,on the way to the cabin) I won't say any more, in case people have not seen this. This film is surprisingly funny,as most of the cast I do not usual find that funny,besides the main role of Barry played by Tyler Labine, and the other main role of Melanie played by Lucy Punch. These two are fantastic together!The humor in this film is also so different to your average comedy. It is, in fact a very crude film, and goes beyond the boundaries of appropriate. It is so wrong, that it's so right,which makes this film what it is.Absolutely hilarious,worth a watch.And I would definitely watch this again.

thesar-2 Tyler Labine has always been a hot spot for me…hot, so very hot…so, frankly, even in his worst movies, he still brings a charm of someone who wants to be there, does his best and always entertains me. Add his charisma and undeniable likability and humor, the always wonderful Damon Wayans Jr (whom I've loved since the criminally cut short Happy Endings show) and the very funny Thomas Middleditch, you have one cute movie. Completely predictable and clichéd, the crude to a fault Someone Marry Barry is still hilarious at points and has solid performances all-around. It's not trying to be anything it's not and never takes itself too seriously, even when it veers into familiar, sitcom-gone-dramatic territory. For fans of both THAT ANNOYING FRIEND genre and Tyler Labine films, you'll sink in and enjoy your stay-at-home-movie-night.

Craig Finlayson Great Comedy, which i s'pose would be categorised as a romantic comedy. However the romance side is out weighed by the comedic side for sure. The Lead roles work together beautifully, believable, and more importantly funny together. I first saw Tyler Labine in the series 'Sons of Tucson', which then lead me to 'Tucker and Dale'. When I saw his name pop up in the description, I new that I would like it. He did a great job as Barry in this movie and I am looking forward to seeing him in 'DeadBeat'.Lucy Punch is as equally inappropriate, crass and FUNNY, as her male lead. Her British accent, to me, made things more amusing.Damon Wayans Jr. is another great addition, as well as a nice cameo from Ed Helms.Don't get me wrong, this IS a crass and crude comedy in parts, romantic comedy in parts, but on the whole, a great movie. I enjoy the style of comedy in these movies, and this was no different. There were many laugh out loud moments and one particular scene where I admit I was in tears.So do yourself a favor, if you enjoy unexpected, un 'hyped' comedies, check this one out.Ya Twunts

jscleary This movie kept us laughing though the whole thing! We were looking forward to seeing Labine after falling in love with Tucker and Dale vs Evil and were not disappointed. I think we all have a "Barry" in our life so it was easy to relate to and fall in love with the character.It was raunchy but so funny, comic timing by Labine and cast was perfect! Punch was hilarious and there were some great cameos. Typical,predictable storyline, but the acting and comedy was superb! We truly enjoyed the movie and were disappointed that it did not get better reviews. Common reviewers, it is what it is! Pure comedy genius :)Put the kids to bed and watch!
