A Major Disappointment

The film creates a perfect balance between action and depth of basic needs, in the midst of an infertile atmosphere.

This film is so real. It treats its characters with so much care and sensitivity.

what a terribly boring film. I'm sorry but this is absolutely not deserving of best picture and will be forgotten quickly. Entertaining and engaging cinema? No. Nothing performances with flat faces and mistaking silence for subtlety.

I believe that Abhay Deol is one of the best character actors in India and he demonstrated that in his debut film Socha Na Tha. Everything about this film was good: the storyline, the acting, the music and the direction. Produced in 2005, this is an oldie, but goodie. Watch it!

Lack of writers in 1.2billion population. Simply copying each and every thought of the movies.

I have watched this movies 152 times. I like it to see as I am repeating my story with simple way. .....great Nothing is seen as overacted. ....Balanced acting, balanced storyline, balance script with magically directed.Actually the films are being made today are fully of vulgarity with no family or social message. Believe it that you can not able and allow to see the movies with your family together as these are almost full of sex and substandard. However, banner of VIJEYTA FILMS always try to maintain their motive to server meaning-full and quality movies to public..only the person who has moral values will understand themes of their films.....I OF THE VIEW THAT FILM MAKING IS NOT SO DIFFICULT BUT IT IS VERY DIFFICULT TO SEE THE FILM FAMILYThis type of movies really we want.

A very light hearted and straight forward movie, Socha Naa Tha might have crashed at the box-office. But it touches hearts in a way that not many movies do. Director Imtiaz Ali has directed a wonderful plot which is very usual in any Indian household. The chemistry between the couple is very naturally presented. I had fallen in love with this movie instantly. The lyrics of the songs may seem vague at first. But they relate and amalgamate to situations so appropriately. The dialogues are very 'day to day'... which contribute that the movie is not out of this world. I would say it is a better movie than Jab We Met, the second movie by Imtiaz Ali.
