Creatures, bound by the blood of the wolf, that can kill with curses and move at lightening speed, watching the night sky for the rise of the blood-red crescent moon. They are SKINWALKERS. They feed on our flesh and thirst for the taste of human blood. The red moon signals each pack, divided by principles, hell bent to survive an ancient prophecy.

CommentsXp Best movie ever!
Huievest Instead, you get a movie that's enjoyable enough, but leaves you feeling like it could have been much, much more.
KnotStronger This is a must-see and one of the best documentaries - and films - of this year.
Finfrosk86 You know when, sometimes, a movie has - on paper - all that is needed to make a pretty good movie, but it just still isn't really good..? Like Pan, or John Carter, and lots of others. This is one of those times. This movie has action, guns, shooting, werewolves, blood, a couple of decent actors. But it still manages to be pretty boring.I'm no fan of werewolves, in fact, 'An American Werewolf in London' might be the only werewolf flick I've ever really enjoyed, but yeah, this one takes the cake. It's just bad. Boring. They try to have a little drama in here, you know: staring, "You've lied to me!" bu-hu, little kids crying, etc. The problem is just that I really couldn't care less about these characters. Like not. at. all.The best thing about the whole movie is that the technical part of the gunfights look pretty good, except for the missing kick-back, but that's on the actors. The make up is alright for the most part, but they look more like hairy alien vampires than werewolves. I like that their arms are really think, but I love muscles so.Yeah, skip this one.
Leofwine_draca Imagine TWILIGHT without the vampires and romance and you'll have some idea of the look and style of SKINWALKERS, a film in which a mother and son are pursued by a pack of violent werewolves. Unfortunately you can tell that this is going to be a bad film from the outset, with cheap-looking filming, dodgy red filters to create a "blood moon", and some singularly ill-defined characters. It's one of those films where there's nobody to like or care about, and where there's no consistency in tone or character action. Sure, it's a movie that's packed full of violent action, but the action is all so clichéd. There's a predictable shoot-out, a predictable werewolf fight at the climax, and for the rest of the time there are just minor characters being bumped off on either side. It pains me to say that the cheap-looking practical effects were done by Stan Winston Studios, although at least there are no dodgy transformations here. I liked one scene - the big twist in that travelling truck - but that's it.The acting barely passes muster either. Rhona Mitra comes across as an inexperienced actress, and she would do a much better job a couple of years later in DOOMSDAY. Jason Behr, the pretty boy bad guy, is almost entirely lacking in menace. The best of the group is the reliable Elias Koteas, a guy you can always depend on to give a solid performance, and I also spotted Kim Coates (a B-movie favourite) further down the cast list as a regular henchman. But this is forgettable popcorn nonsense as a whole.
Boba_Fett1138 This is one of those typical modern horror flicks, with action thrown into it. It focuses around two different groups of werewolves battling each other. The one group wants to be cured of the curse, while the others try to prevent the others from finding the cure to it. As a werewolf flick this movie really isn't much special but it at least is still good looking and has plenty of action in it to keep things going. It still can't help to conceal though that the story is being quite formulaic and predictable. In it's core this movie is nothing more but a B-movie, made with a fairly low budget and just not really the greatest cast or crew involved. For some reason this movie still got a theatrical release at some places, while this is obviously a movie which should had gone straight to the DVD market instead. The movie is still good looking though with its effects and also the look and make-up of the movie its werewolves is quite good. The movie had the Stan Winston Studio involved, which definitely adds to the movie and prevents it from ever becoming a laughable one with any of its effects.Too bad that everything else is being so very standard. This movie basically feature nothing in it that you haven't seen before in some different movie. This movie just seems like one to cash in on a popular genre. It also isn't a very well cast movie. What the movie is mostly lacking is a good evil menacing villain. The casting of the 'bad guys' was the worst thing of the movie, while also the leading actors of this movie weren't being too impressive. It only features some semi-well known actors in it, such as for instance Elias Koteas, Kim Coates and Tom Jackson, who still add a bit of body to the movie. I've never been too impressed with Rhona Mitra as a leading lady and she is always much better in smaller supporting roles. One of those movie you can very easily do without, even when you are really into the genre.4/10http://bobafett1138.blogspot.com/
mollidew I think too many expect constant fighting. This movie takes place in rural America where some are trying to keep their humanity. I saw nothing wrong with this movie. It is a horror movie and not many of them will get a rating above a B in most cases. Just because many of these actors are TV actors doesn't make them bad actors. I always see people say these things and put down lesser known actors. I didn't even realize it was Jason Behr because he has changed so much since I saw him on Roswell. He did a great job in his part. Remember, the actors are not the screenwriter or director...they learn lines they act out with direction. He has always been an excellent actor. All in all this was a good werewolf movie. I thought it better than some of the Underworld stuff I have seen which is pretty mindless and a series of nothing more than chase and kill scenes. This one did have a plot and an interesting ending. I thought the hawk they added was a nice touch. Some of the things they did with the characters were also very interesting in the sense that no matter how old they were they protected their own with modern tools; guns. They were territorial so to speak and that is the nature of the wolf. I would suspect the empty town was representative of where a pack of these werewolves lived, so knowing what was happening they kept inside for protection. Going into the hospital for the boy was reckless but this kept the characterized difference between those who were very nearly living a normal lifestyle and those who had tasted blood and simply didn't care.I thought the idea about the uncontrollable urge to seek and kill for the sake of blood once you had made a first kill was an interesting idea. They added a second dynamic to the werewolf. As for the comment about vampires, some do write them as well as mindless blood seeking beings, namely very much the blood seeking animal in nature. Some are shown as shifters as well. These were not shifters even though they made a change. These werewolves are more typical to the historical view of werewolves where they change somewhat but don't turn into a wolf as in Blood and Chocolate. I think you will like this movie if you watch it with an open mind.
