The Worst Film Ever

Highly Overrated But Still Good

The acting is good, and the firecracker script has some excellent ideas.

A strange choice to shoot this film in black and white. This did not detract from the story-line but seems ultimately pointless. The plot meanders through different life events experienced by Milo and most of the time the journey is enjoyable and sometimes very touching. The plot could have had several different endings and the one I was expecting the most, reuniting with the love of his life would have been satisfactory. The plot revolving around his other family discovered it seems almost by accident, only for me made the final 15 minutes a little drawn out.The acting was superb and all the characters especially Grace were truly believable.Overall very watchable.

I'm always a bit leery of direct-to-video flicks (something HAS to be wrong with it, right?)...in this case, apparently distributors wouldn't touch it because they perceived (OBVIOUSLY without seeing it) that it was too much like Chris Nolan's "Memento" (it's NOT). I'd compare it more to Vonnegut's "Slaughterhouse-Five," but only superficially. This is ORIGINAL, and it's A MASTERPIECE. It's a delicate jigsaw puzzle of a film which, once it settles into where it's going, will have you RIVETED. And it's OVERPOWERINGLY romantic. The cast is brilliant (I fell completely in love with Paula Rhodes, despite the fact that I'm gay), and the screenplay is pure art. Writer-director Kuenne also composed the score, which is RAVISHING. See this with someone you love, and afterwards you can both scratch your heads as to how the 'geniuses' that run the studios couldn't see clear to give it a theatrical run.

"Shuffle" is one of the most profound movies I've ever seen. Kurt Kuenne can tell a story that keeps everyone involved and at the edge of their seats. I've now seen every film Mr. Kuenne has made from Validation, to the heart felt Dear Zachary and Shuffle. What a film maker and Shuffle is now on my shelf at home along side of Dear Zachary. How Shuffle hasn't made it to the big screen amazes me for this movie has to be one of the most remarkable in the past several years. Brilliant, thought provoking, sensitive, and a story that I will never forget. 10 stars to Mr. Kuenne for his movie making. I hope everyone who reads this review will give Shuffle a look at for you will not forget the film nor Mr. Kuenne.

This is the story of a narcoleptic photographer who wakes up each day at a different stage in his life. He learns that there is a purpose to this nightmare hes living and he must save someone. I wont give anymore away but I will say that the ending is quite satisfying as is the entire movie. T.J. Thyne plays Lovell Milo the title character whose names sounds like its being being said backwards, an outstanding job. There are also incredible performances from Chris Stone and Tamara Taylor. But the show is almost stolen by Paula Rhodes who plays Thyne's lifelong friend and love interest. This movie is inspiring, compelling and one of a kind. I would recommend it to all around movie buffs and casual movie watchers alike. Shuffle is an experience like no other.
