marjanahmedtareq one of the best action , drama, thriller film I have ever seen. the story of the movie was also at its best. Ajay's best I would say. as a actor plus as a director. everyone has done a great job. A family film with love emotions and many more. A real class movie. Liked it. A must watch film.

inforaza Shivaay is an over-stretched (almost 3 hours) average film that is used by Ajay Devgan (Producer and Director) for self-promotion, nothing else.It will appeal only to the masses not the classes.MERITS OF SHIVAAY 1- Awe-inspiring snow-clad mountainous locations where many action scenes are performed plus one love-making scene in a tent dangling from a cliff.2 - The convincing acting of a mute girl played by the adorable Abigale Eames.3 - Some heart-pumping stunts which you usually see in Hollywood movies.4 - The background music in some scenes is thrilling and can keep you transfixed.5 - The songs can hardly be called memorable!DEMERITS OF SHIVAAY 1 - It is an unnecessarily long film, which suggests poor Editing! The reason is obvious. Why would Ajay chop…chop his own scenes when he himself is the Director? 2 - The story is just a flimsy excuse to showcase all kinds of stunts in heavenly locations.2 - There is one BORING car chase inside the city. I wonder who was Ajay trying to impress with this boring chase. I suspect he ran out of ideas! LOL!3 - The last 20 minutes is totally stupid, over-stretched and unconvincing! While Ajay was injured by helicopter gunship and attacked by the mafia (but still alive - Can you believe that?!!!), his daughter (Gaura) was standing near the tunnel looking terrified - and with a stupid background song playing. What nonsense! Within a few seconds we see Gaura reunited with her mother (Olga, Ajay's former lover) who is now married. Immediately thereafter we see that Gaura is living in the lap of luxury, with toys everywhere.Ajay suddenly becomes sad as he cannot afford all this and, therefore, departs for the airport.Suddenly at the airport Gaura comes running to him and tears up the tickets…cries…and indicates that she wants to live with him - with Olga standing in the background.And then - THE END! What retarded nonsense is this?PS: There are some 2-legged donkeys here who consider Shivaay a CLASSIC! We've millions of such 2-legged donkeys who praise films which should actually be in the dustbin.

shivamt25 Why do people like it so much? Why is its rating above 7, i just don't understand. This was unbearable like son of sardar, himmatwala, action jackson etc. Ajay should look back and learn from these movies.This is a long movie with a story of a short 10 minute movie. It is slightly "inspired" from Taken which is the only good thing about it. A waste of money is what it is. Sure you would like the stunt, but what if i told you that they were forcibly squeezed into scenes where there was no need of them. There were characters who were just there for 1 or 2 dialogues. It was like other than Ajay's Character and his daughter, all the other characters could have been replaced by one character.There were some scenes which were so unnecessarily stretch that i saw people leaving the theater in the second half because they just couldn't take it anymore.This movie is a disaster and watch it only if you have time to waste.

Sushil Sharma This diwali we had two major release ADHM n Shivaay. Both looked good and the competition between these two is still tough one. We all are in dilemma to choose one over the other. I did pretty good research of reviews before going for the movie in theatre. Although the review of Shivaay was poor than ADHM the IMDb rating and comments were good. Shivaay scoring 7.3 with excellent user review. I always trust the user review rather than critic. So I choosed "Shivaay" over ADHM but I did mistake.Only very few scene like the opening scene of the movie is worth watching. It lacks story and the movie is unnecessarily lengthy. It could have been edited and made short. Second half is utterly boring and the emotional scene doesn't appeal at all. Shivaay is sheer failure, only few good mountain shots can't save the film. Although the music is good. If you are planning to watch in theatre better don't watch. Wait for the movie in cable or DVD. You will thank me later...I think all other user review in IMDb are paid one too.
