wes-connors Off the coast of South Africa, two attractive female scuba-divers are attacked by a toothy shark. One survives, the other does not. A week later, muscle-bound marine biologist Thorsten Kaye (as Nick Harris) is asked by the "Water World" amusement park promoters to capture a great white shark and exhibit it in an aquarium as a tourist attraction. Reluctantly, Mr. Kaye delivers the shark. Beautiful blonde Nikita Ager (as Samantha "Sam" Peterson) recognizes the captured shark as the one who killed her sister during the opening minutes. She tries to kill the animal, but does not succeed. Huge crowds gather to see the only great white shark in captivity... Raise your hand if you think this public killer shark aquarium idea won't end well...This follow-up to "Shark Attack" (1999) is much more like a "Jaws" (1975) sequel... "Shark Attack II" is not great, but it's much better than the first "Shark Attack". Herein, the sharks are stated to be versions of the mutants in the first movie. Other than that, there is no real reason for this to even be a sequel. Probably, at the time, the words "Shark Attack" were a sales incentive on their own. It's very likely "Nu Image Films" opted to protect their rights to the title. In any case, this story is acceptable, at least. With occasional rubber props, director David Worth manage to get leading man Kaye on a water scooter to jump the shark. Bezenby Shark attack 1 was a film that was almost devoid of positive aspects. It had Casper Van Starship Trooper, but that was about it. Not much Shark action, not much gore, not much of anything...Luckily for folks like me (drunken bald types) Shark Attack 2 UPS the sharks stakes by giving us multiple sharks overdubbed with roaring lions! And very little continuity between the stock footage sharks and the bright blue plastic sharks attacking the cast! And the usual terrible Nu-image half arsed production! Shark Attack two is exponentially more eventful than the first one. You've actually got sharks killing folks, which happened seldom in the first one. You've also got ridiculous dubbing, really bad CGI, terrible (but welcome) gore, and a film so aware of its own crapness that you can't help but enjoy it.You know what I mean by 'enjoy', don't you?

EuroSpike If you are ever considering watching this DON'T. This movie offers nothing more than bad acting, shameful special effects, pathetic directing and a script obviously vomited out of the writers mouths. Seriously, putting out a movie of this quality is pathetic. The shark attack scenes are devoid of any tension and the sharks look less convincing than a man with a plastic fin on his back. The story about genetically altered sharks could have been decent like Deep Blue Sea but was just stupid. I mean, the sharks roar! What the f@!# is this sh#t is the main question to ask when watching this bast#rd of a film. How this got a sequel is a deeply disturbing mystery.

disdressed12 this movie could be called a blatant rip-off of "Jaws 3",at least the beginning of it.however it has an added twist and it's a much better movie.the shark attacks are really bloody and violent in this one,and the are frenetic at times.i'm not sure if this movie is better than the first,but it's still pretty good.again there's lots of action,and the sharks are fear inspiring.the acting is pretty good.the movie is a bit too melodramatic at times and lags once in awhile.even so,it's an entertaining movie with some thrills and some nail biting tension.there are a lot worse movies out there in the genre and in general.if you wanna fill 90 minutes or so,you could do a lot worse,and you may even enjoy it.my vote for "Shark Attack 2" is 7/10
