"Selfie from Hell" is a German live action shot film from 2015 written and directed by Turkish filmmaker Erdal Ceylan and it says the language here is English, but actually there is no dialogue here at all basically, so you can watch it wherever you are from and whatever languages you speak. but do you really want to is the question. Should you? And I say no. We have a woman taking selfies showing her cleavage, but she discovers a strange creature in the background of these selfies. But yeah, no worries after she sees him the first time right? Embarassing how she shakes it off so easily so quickly. Very unrealistic. And maybe it's not the best idea to keep making selfies as he moves closer on these, but hey she really had it coming what happens eventually and with that I mean the jump scare of course. It is a very short movie at 90 seconds without credits that managed over 20 million views on Youtube in about 2.5 years, so that is pretty impressive for sure. But it's not a good or clever film i'd say. The fact that it became an online sensation resulted in Ceylan turning this into a full feature film with his lead actress Meelah Adams again, but it seems the reception for that one is way worse compared to this award-winning short film we have here. Still not even the latter is quality on a level where I would recommend checking it out. I give it a thumbs-down. Watch something else instead unless you really really love horror films. I personally am glad it was this short as it did almost nothing for me.
