A look primarily at the beauty of the countryside and seacoast, starting at Carrick-a-Rede Island then on to Enniskillen, the cathedral at Downpatrick, an appreciation of Medieval Irish craft and architecture, visits to a peat farm and the ruins of Castle Dunluce, and the pastoral beauty of County Down. There we visit the resort seacoast town of Bangor. It's on to Cushendun in County Antrim and finishing at the Giant's Causeway as we examine fascinating rock formations and the mysteries of creation.

Lightdeossk Captivating movie !
Baseshment I like movies that are aware of what they are selling... without [any] greater aspirations than to make people laugh and that's it.
Dynamixor The performances transcend the film's tropes, grounding it in characters that feel more complete than this subgenre often produces.
Michael_Elliott Roaming Through Northern Ireland (1949) ** 1/2 (out of 4) TravelTalk entry this time takes a look at Ireland, which is a location the series hit many, many times. This short pretty much takes a look at stuff like the land, the hills, the ocean, rivers and so on. With that in mind on a visual level the short is quite beautiful but the print shown on Turner Classic Movies is rather beat up and faded so the Technicolor really isn't given a chance to shine but at least we have a channel to play rarer films like this. It should once again be noted that today's internet will turn up better stuff so it's important to keep in mind when this was made and remember that, for the time, this was probably very entertaining stuff to people, which is probably why this series ran for so long.
