if their story seems completely bonkers, almost like a feverish work of fiction, you ain't heard nothing yet.

After playing with our expectations, this turns out to be a very different sort of film.

From the first few moments of the movie, Rise the Protagonist Will is portrayed as a likable, fun-loving, responsible character who cares for others. Vices cause him to seek pleasure in a morally compromising situation which condemns him. Selfishness imprisons him until he is released through the petitions of those that love him. A technicality is exposed and his journey impacts many others. A lesson in integrity, mateship and the value of Christian principles. Watch it to witness lessons that Will learns the examples of effective ministering. The soundtrack and images of self reflection, confrontation and growth are powerful. Midshots, headshots, longshots establish moments of personal struggle and relationships in crisis. Props such as motos, bibles, and pictures help to define and focus the audience onto the Christian Principles and values expounded by Rise.

RISE that's exactly what it did for me, it made me want to rise to be a better person. A great Aussie film, it is a must see for everyone.Very inspiring and uplifting film, it makes you want to achieve anything and everything you could.Great cast Martin Sacks and Nathan Wilson did a great job.Jimmy Cove was by far my favorite character, Martin Sacks in my opinion was made to play him.The writer and director Mack Lindon has an amazing story and I'm glad he shared it with us.Overall a fantastic story, well written with an amazing cast. Look forward to seeing more work from Mack Lindon.

Rise is a film that showed a young man who climbed a mountain to achieve justice in a justice system that continually fails us here in Australia. Being a young man living and loving life myself showed just how easily it could've been for me or one of my family or friends to be in the same position that Mack had been in. Seeing how one man, with limited assistance came from the depths of despair unjustly jailed, to being a free man was displayed brilliantly in this film. Mack's journey was clearly one of high emotion which left those watching this film aghast throughout with scenes of humour thrown in to cut through that emotion. A great story, a true story and highly recommend RISE!

This is a film about how it is possible to overcome challenges in our life, no matter how tough they might seem. With some great Australian actors (as well as some new ones), alongside a compelling script, the audience is taken on Will's journey, through his lowest of lows and his highest of highs. Will's friendship with inmate Jimmy is a touching part of the story and also provided some Aussie comic relief in what is quite a serious film. The dedication and hard work the director has put into making this film what it is does not go unnoticed by the audience. This is a film which should not be missed and at the same time is good for the soul!
