Best movie ever!

Although I seem to have had higher expectations than I thought, the movie is super entertaining.

The movie turns out to be a little better than the average. Starting from a romantic formula often seen in the cinema, it ends in the most predictable (and somewhat bland) way.

A thrilling ride through colorful animation, not to be taken seriously but such an unforgettable film. Not complex in story but great in its animation. As odd in nature, that there's nothing quite like it.

7 years to create this masterpiece? Yes, you can see it in every frame in Redline. So much love in the details, characters and art.The movie is not only about the races and vehicles. We also get a insight of the daily life of the creatures and how the main character JP enjoys his time before the next race in the huge Cyberpunk world of Redline. The races are of course the best part in this movie. The vehicles have insane weapons, transformations and boosts. It's mind blowing when JP or the other racers use their boosts because you can see special tracking shots from inside the vehicles and how the racer reacts to the unbelievable speed of his own car.I also love that they don't use 3d objects in this movie and when they do, you won't even recognize them.I really enjoyed Redline because you can see the love they've put in every frame in the 7 years until the movie was finished.Watch this movie when you just want to sit down a have some fun with awesome animations, sound and characters and of course their incredible vehicles.

There aren't any spoilers in this review, but even if there were, the whole movie is on youtube cutesy of the creators. It's English dub, which is done really well, for a movie the dub really didn't even need to be good for. Wow is this movie an experience. OK first of what everyone is going to say, the visuals are amazing, maybe the best I've ever seen. They spent 7 years(7 YEARS) drawing this film. So it's worth watch once to look at.The other things that keeps you in this movie, besides the awesome racing scenes, the characters are entertaining, maybe more than the creators realized. JP is a kid at heart, and has high ambitions, a great protagonist for this movie. All the other characters are fun as well. The plot was not deep, but like it needed to be at all for a movie like this. I actually felt the movie focused to much on the roboworld plot(anyone else get a Nazi feeling from them?). It's like they were trying to emphasize how crazy the final race was going to be when I'm sitting here like "hey you have cool characters here let's develop them more." But none the less you don't need a crazy plot for this movie.Basically, if you enjoy anime, this movie is a must see. To everyone else, if you just want to completely lose yourself for an hour and half and go on a thrill ride, than buckle up and put on Redline.

This is definitely a top class anime flick! I won't lie and says it has a killer storyline - it's no Ghibli movie - but it is totally cool and it does have memorable characters even if they aren't fully fleshed out. It's like watching a 2 hr long episode of Cowboy bebop (style & adrenalin) meets Outlaw Star (comedy ). It is suave anime and it does it very well. Well worth 102 mins of your time - it's like a guilty pleasure. And the soundtrack is one of the best around, period! It's about "Sweet" JP, a small-time ex-con racer who competes mostly to help his mechanic buddy Frisbee pull off fixes for the mob he owes money to, but he finally gets a shot at the biggest race of them all - the illegal Redline. Also competing is his secret crush "Crab" Sonshee and she wants nothing more than to climb that winners' podium for her long-lost dad. It's a race where anything goes (and usually does) - add to that the authorities want to stop the race at all costs and what you get is the anime version of The Cannonball Run, with a lot of explosions, nitro, burning rubber and a cast of characters good and bad you'll not forget anytime soon!
