Real Steel Audience Reviews

More Review
Solemplex To me, this movie is perfection.
AnhartLinkin This story has more twists and turns than a second-rate soap opera.
Lachlan Coulson This is a gorgeous movie made by a gorgeous spirit.
Cristal The movie really just wants to entertain people.
Smoreni Zmaj By crossbreeding of Terminator and Rocky we get...Maybe it is cliché, maybe it is Hollywood phew, but battles kept me at the edge of my seat and the rest of the story at the edge of tears. I loved it very very much.9/10 (10 is reserved for the best movies of all time and I can not go that far)
ouroborosvsdeath-85680 Real Steel is such a bad movie that it actually becomes easy to review it by simply enumerating all the stupidity in it.The movie literally uses every cliché in the book: "main character is owing a lot of money because of irresponsible bets", "main character has a kid he never cared about", "main character loses even more money on-screen to show the audience who's too dumb to understand the first time", "kid is a tech-genius", "kid helps his father start winning money" you name it.If that wasn't enough the movie then decides to completely rip-off the plot of Rocky by having the underdog robot fighter win a chance at facing the world champion and then have the champion barely win that fight by points and not KO, so that the protagonist can be "the people's champion"And I haven't even gotten to the inexcusable plot holes like the fact that the kid is the first person in the history of robot fighting (a common sport in this movie's future) to find out that training robots are better than the normal fighting robots because they can take more damage and keep fighting. DID NO ONE SERIOUSLY THINK ABOUT THAT BEFORE?!?! EVEN I THOUGHT ABOUT THAT WHILE WATCHING THE ******* MOVIE
adonis98-743-186503 In the near future, robot boxing is a top sport. A struggling promoter feels he's found a champion in a discarded robot. Real Steel is one of my favorite movies that Hugh Jackman has starred in besides the X-Men Franchise, Prisoners, Les Miserables and a bunch of others movies it's basically Rocky meets Terminator and honestly who the hell doesn't love Robots? This film brought some life in all those boxing movies sure it repeats some stuff from Rocky like the ending for example but still one hell of an awesome movie and i would love to see a sequel after Hugh is done with Wolverine and i think it might happen cause the movie was directed by Shawn Levy the director of the Night at the Museum Trilogy. They also did one hell of job with the robots you feel like they are real and not just some cgi or puppet in a science fiction movie the animatronics in these film are outstanding and so are the robots and the human characters. It really deserves a much high score on Rotten Tomatoes than just a drop dead 59% Atom for the win!!!
POGO (PogoNeo) This movie is full of clichés and is predictable from the get go (with an exception of one later scene). But the fact that it is boring only to some extent and that it is stupid only in a moderate way, will not land him a rating higher than 1/10. And there is just no sense in describing what exactly is wrong with it, because when you take such used up sport or parents-children relations stories like this one, and then execute them in (at best) a mediocre way, then you do not deserve such any extra attention for such "work"Of course there will be those who will say "But wait a minute! Isn't this suppose to be a family movie, for the so called everyone? Or enjoyable at least to the kids? And as such shouldn't be hold to standards of serious / realistic cinema?". Well, this picture was (correctly) rated PG-13. And as for the family values presented in this picture, they are very dubious. Because what does the father teach his son? To break and entry. To loot someone's property but at the same time to ditch his partner in crime when you get tired. To avoid paying debts. To litter on the street. To not trust police when being a victim of a health threatening crime. To not go to the hospital after being beaten. And on top of that, you can add cruelty toward animal done for fun (to which, amongst other things, the character of the son is not exposed to- but hypothetical child viewer is)Just like you can eat real food or junk food, you can watch a real movie or some junk movie. And this film is big pile of junk. For real
