Purely Joyful Movie!

It's entirely possible that sending the audience out feeling lousy was intentional

Through painfully honest and emotional moments, the movie becomes irresistibly relatable

A terrific literary drama and character piece that shows how the process of creating art can be seen differently by those doing it and those looking at it from the outside.

This movie is extremely hard to find but is one of my favorite holiday movies of all time. To me it's a classic that should get more Television time as it gets absolutely none now. Not many remember Raggedy Ann and Andy. Their dog Arther is even less remembered. It's an adorable movie and one that I think kids should see to remind them the fun of Halloween. The pumpkin cries pumpkin seeds - It's great! You would have to watch it for yourself to really get the most out of it but they never show it on television anymore and you cannot buy it anywhere. I've actually been searching for it everywhere but I'm just not willing to pay $200 to a collector for a copy. If anyone knows where I can get a copy of this just drop me a line.

Now here is Halloween special I hardly remember; until I watched it on YouTube. It is an animated Halloween special made by Chuck Jones, starring Raggedy Ann & Andy and their dog Raggedy Arthur. The show starts with a gloomy pumpkin, crying forlornly about being left out on Halloween. Meanwhile in neighbourhood below the hill, Raggedy Ann and Raggedy Andy watch from their window a sad little boy named Ralph, who lives across the road from their house, with his cold-hearted Aunt Agatha, who dose not think trick-or-treating on Halloween is fun at all! Feeling sorry for young Ralph, Ann and Andy thought a jack-o-lantern would cheer him up. So with Arthur and his skateboard and a flashlight (for the pumpkin), the three rag-dolls headed for the pumpkin patch. And but shear-luck, they had found the gloomy pumpkin, and when Ann tells the pumpkin that he will make Ralph happy, a smile came across his face.I kind of like the scene where the pumpkin on the skateboard speeds down the hill with Raggedy Ann, Andy and Arthur trailing behind. Chuck Jones is awesome! the subtle details on the expressions of the characters are just genius; a reason I love animation by Chuck Jones. I had watched this special again on YouTube and I love this cartoon! It's so rare; such a classic and a real heart warmer around Halloween time.

this story comes from the past for me and I have not seen it in many years, if i ever find it on VHS or DVD I must own it! The story is told using that warm fuzzy animation style we grew so fond of in the past, telling the tale of a pumpkin who couldn't smile, and a boy who wanted a jack o' lantern but his mother/grandmother(?) wouldn't allow him to have one for Halloween on the basis that they attract fruit flies. Raggedy Ann and Andy help said Pumpkin to smile and find him a home with the boy and the most memorable scene of this movie are a Pumpkin actively cry tears that consist of pumpkin seeds, and all the silhouette(sp?) scenes of Halloween in the Neighborhood...a definite classic for reliving your trick or treating past! if this exists anywhere in the world or is readily available, please let me know...I would love to own it once again
