The Age of Commercialism
BelSports
This is a coming of age storyline that you've seen in one form or another for decades. It takes a truly unique voice to make yet another one worth watching.
Bea Swanson
This film is so real. It treats its characters with so much care and sensitivity.

Decent idea. The actors did well, but not great. It looks like if they had a larger budget more takes could have been taken or at least more rehearsals. The most painful part of the film is how most of the scenes are so long and drawn out that they lose their impact. There was some atmosphere built with the psychologist interviewing the Regina, the Zombie Chick, but not much. The ending sucked.
I had to take a few breaks to watch this. Also, I had to play guitar along with the viewing so I can manage the boredom. I cannot completely dismiss the film, because it had some original ideas. However, they ideas needed more. There was some mention of Regina's mother having a similar disease, but was not expanded on. That would have been interesting. There was a mention that she killed 4 people and ate them, but she only killed the pizza delivery guy and her fiancé. She also attacked one of her guards, but we don't know if the guard was killed.
Some of the hand held camera shots were decent and fit into the film. But some were just too long and boring.
Some of the dialogue was also unbelievable. Like when the fiancé found the dead pizza guy in the tub.
Rating for Effort and some ideas: 10, A
Rating for Film: 3 or 4, D

The film opens with the pretty doctor Regina sticking a gun in her mouth and pulling the trigger. We are then informed that she had "murdered and cannibalized at least 4 men, but had never been brought to trial."Cut to a mental hospital where Regina is being treated by a psychiatrist, after surviving her attempted suicide. She insists that she is a monster who he must let die, while he insists she has schizophrenia. The bulk of the film is then told through flashbacks that show us her courtship and eventual engagement to Ryan, an EMT. Ryan and Regina attend a karaoke party in which drugs are involved, and Regina has a bad reaction and is rushed off to hospital. Soon after recovering, she finds that she can no longer stomach normal food, except for raw pork.Soon that is not enough and she finds that she can only subsist on human remains, so after work she steals those bags labelled "biowaste" out of the hospital garbage and brings them home to consume. What follows is an increasingly ludicrous series of events that pretty much defies logic. Regina pours bags of human fat into a glass, and drinks it like a milkshake while her fiancée looks on, giggling. It doesn't even seem to phase him. She tries to eat him and he laughs, and tells her to hurry to work. They watch a documentary on ants and decide from that that she has a fungus in her brain.None of this seems to make any sense to me but I went with it, waiting for something interesting to happen. Nothing really did. The two leads do a passable acting job but Regina's psychiatrist character is portrayed with some of the worst acting I have ever seen. The sound is horrible and the music sometimes is so loud that you can't hear what the characters are saying. All in all a big letdown, with a laughable ending.
