One of the worst ways to make a cult movie is to set out to make a cult movie.

The Pink Panther accidentally steps on a tack and asks a passer by, the pointy-nosed man who comes out of a bar, to help him take the thorn out. He does and he instantly becomes the panther's benefactor. For some reason, the Pink Panther gets obsessed with the man and starts to worship him, doing everything at his bid. As a result, he moves in with him and helps him scare his wife so she could do anything the man pleases. There are some back and forth man and wife problems in this one, with the panther helping the pointy-nosed man avoid being hen-pecked. Pretty entertaining with a few surprises in the end as well, even thought there isn't too much laughter in this one in my opinion.Grade B-

So, in this cartoon Pinky has a nail stuck in his paw and a helpful human pulls it out for him. Pinky then idolises and worships this person for helping him and follows him home, I think.I'll be honest, it was at that point that the cartoon lost me. I had no idea what on Earth was going on as it's just a seemingly random scattering of really not funny pratfalls. I hated it. None of it made sense, including the title. I don't mind puns but this one didn't apply to anything.I hope this is as bad as the Pink Panther gets. If all of these shorts were released theatrically I'd be walking out before the main feature even started.

Most of the Pink Panther cartoons are good fun(though there are a few mediocre or disappointing ones too), then there are a handful that are great and even classic. Pinkadilly Circus is one of the classic ones. The animation is very true to most other Pink Panther cartoons, the style is simple but not overly-so while also clean and elegant. The music is equally great, the theme tune is a classic and rightfully so while the music in the cartoon itself has an upbeat, jazzy and catchy orchestration and style. The gags are clever and always never less than funny, the best of them are hilarious actually, while the cartoon moves quickly and has a story that serves the characters well. Pinky is still appealing and oozes coolness, his comic timing as always is perfectly pitched. The Little White Guy is the sort of guy who proves a funny foil and sometimes, especially here, in a way that makes you feel for him and his predicament. All in all, wonderful and up there with one of the Pink Panther's best. 10/10 Bethany Cox

This was one of the best Pink Panther cartoon I've ever seen. It was extremely clever and funny. It probably wasn't appreciated as much for many wives in the theater, but us for us guys, this was great stuff. Our usual little human guy takes a thorn out of one of the Pink Panther's hind paws and our hero is so grateful, that he can't thank him enough. He follows the man all the way home, even hiding in the trunk of his car, freaking out the man. However, upon arrival, his wife starts in on him. She and her mother are up waiting for the husband, who had been out at the nightclub, and they are giving to him, rolling pin and all! The Pink Panther comes to the rescue of his new-found idol and scares the women with a ferocious roar. That sets up the main gag of the cartoon - the Panther making life all of sudden great for the guy. He no longer is henpecked. Thanks to the PP, who is there for him every time, he can now be the master of his house. The mother-in-law leaves and the man takes full advantage. There are very funny gags with this. The ending provides an ironic twist, the kind these cartoons like to have. Overall, this was just great.
