Beautiful, moving film.
TrueHello
Fun premise, good actors, bad writing. This film seemed to have potential at the beginning but it quickly devolves into a trite action film. Ultimately it's very boring.

A great movie, one of the best of this year. There was a bit of confusion at one point in the plot, but nothing serious.

True to its essence, the characters remain on the same line and manage to entertain the viewer, each highlighting their own distinctive qualities or touches.

Magnificent narration, superb images of third world populations, mingled with a modern parable of progressive loss where everyone is affected. One feels so sorry for Susan (Eva) and Michael (Ewan)...and themselves too! A very moving story that takes the viewer from the first minute to the final black screen, without using all the tricks of today's blockbusters. Sober, moving, efficient.

I wanted to stop watching this movie after ten minutes. 'Ridiculous' I thought to myself. 'Who green lighted this?' I thought to myself. But ten minutes turned into eleven minutes, turned into more, and it was in the 'more' that I was to find myself watching something quite special: a carefully crafted tale of humanity that shows how perfectly imperfect we all are, and how glorious it is to just - be. And the last scene and that last couple of seconds? Nice.

I both love and hate this movie. I love it, because it has so many clever ideas and such strong methods to give us the experience of losing senses. But the narrations were so dumb! Without these clichés this movie would have been stronger. I don't think the ending was accurate either, they could not be living "happily ever after", because are world is not designed for the disabled. They would die as soon as soon as they eat up all fat and flour (and soap).Unlike most reviewers I like to think of this movie like an allegory of the apocalypse. The losses are associated with heavy emotional crisises, which can be interpreted as the horseman of the apocalypse, and logically the end is death itself. The movie gives us strong metaphors and shows perfectly, how many important thing are that we don't appreciate.

It's not that often I write feedback on IMDb, a film has to move me an awful lot for me to do that. Perfect Sense moved me from the start. I had this instinct that it was going to be pretentious nonsense masquerading as art house and I was spot on. It's produced about as well as you'd expect of a 1st year media studies student, although that fits the story, which is about as interesting as that written by a grade one primary pupil. Everyone in the world cries, then loses their sense of smell. No-one knows why. Then they lose their sense of taste too. Amidst all of this is the story of 2 people who meet and start a relationship, which is poorly acted and utterly unbelievable. The constant voice-over is meant to add some kind of gravitas to the movie with a despondent death knell of a message which sounds like it was written by a 10 year old. That's enough, this film is utter, total rubbish and I am quite annoyed that I wasted 90 minutes of my life suffering this tripe.
