Two years after Osobennosti natsionalnoy rybalki... Less vodka, less humor. Can't help comparing those two, cause I had a kick with Osobennosti natsionalnoy rybalki. The Osobennosti natsionalnoy okhoty v zimniy period, however, was pretty mediocre until Lyova flew with the red balloons waving at the helicopter. Unfortunately this was pretty much toward the ending. I loved Kuzmich though, cold-blooded as usual, hands in his pockets and all. But on the whole... The Fishing is way better. Still haven't seen just the Hunting, hope it's funnier. There were some moments unnecessarily long and tiresome, and that thing with the tale of the apprentice hunter... I didn't quite get it, except for it slowed down the movie a lot. I mean, even if it had some divine inspirational and enlightening meaning to it, why in this movie anyway?
