marcgilfriends Within 7 minutes, I felt a sudden change of emotion that most hourly movies can't do to me. Without words and in adorable style it speaks of love, effort and destiny. This is such a simple yet wonderful piece of art. The story itself is simple and straightforward and it gives warmth to your heart and won't let go as you smile. Because the color, music and movement contains emotions that would really melt your heart. The story shows hopefulness, frustration, disappointment, excitement, and joy because of its ending. This is a really good short film, cheesy but a must watch film to share to your friends and families.

TheLittleSongbird Perfect to go with Wreck It Ralph, which was one of Disney's best films since the Renaissance, and a great contrast to it as well. The animation and music are especially good in Paperman. The music is subtly sparkling and nostalgically whimsical, it fits beautifully and matches the story and characters nuance for nuance. The animation is outstanding, it meshes black and white sketches and computer animation(with the only other colour an effective red) and the two styles blend really well. The black and white colours look wonderful with an atmospheric soft grain, even the magic at the end which didn't look fake at all. There's symbolism too and a lot of it but not in a way that's odd or out of place. The story is one that might not work for a few(like with the magic) but one that most people should have no problem with, it has a set-up that has been done numerous times but the way it's told is simply but not simplistically and with much emotion and heart. And all without the characters uttering a single word, which is testament to how vividly and the colourful the characterisations came to life. The characters are familiar and somewhat archetypal but are written with such nuance and colour that that becomes irrelevant. Paperman was genuinely touching and didn't ever feel manipulative, I admit I was teary-eyed when it finished because the story really connected with me and the animation was so beautifully done. Overall, beautiful and touching short that deserved its Oscar, not one to be recycled. 10/10 Bethany Cox

utgard14 What a delightful short this is. Beautiful animation and music with a sweet, romantic story told with no dialogue. The story's about a man who meets a woman on a train platform on his way to work. There's instant chemistry but he doesn't act quickly enough and, before he knows it, the girl is gone. But, as fate would have it, he sees her again when he arrives to work at a high-rise office building. The only problem is he sees her through his office window as she's in the building across the street. I won't spoil the rest of it for you but it's the kind of story that should put a smile on the face of anyone who isn't a total grouch.

sukesan This is a film of love. The characters are a business man and a woman. The picture of this film is Desney and very and familiar to us. This film is drawn using only black and white but very good. We don't feel the stress while watching it. There is no voice but there expressions are well described. We can imagine there feelings easily and empathize with them. The simple story is also very good. Though this film is about 6 minutes, we can well realize the contents. When you hear the word "Paper man" for the first time, you may think "What is it？ What is the meaning？" If you have finished watching it, you can understand. The papers are great workers. Maybe men can more enjoy this film than women do because men can guess the man's mind. Enjoy "Paper man "！
