a good adaptation. the right performances. the atmosphere of a time when all does other sense of small things and gestures and words. it is strange to describe something who seems be more than a trip across the poem of Pushkin. because it is a reinvention of a world who impress for the status of contemporary story. for the precise, fine performances, for the states of Onegin , each of it defining the fall of a world too empty. a film about desire and love. the delicacy of the creation of the characters represents one of basic virtues. then, Liam Neeson who becomes, scene by scene, the perfect Onegin. not the least, the music. sure , to use Chaikovski is a better choice but Beethoven , in this case, has its precious purpose to reflect emotions with deep roots in the story. short, a beautiful film. in many senses.

the basic topic of this movie is love and faithfulness.the movie and it's tough background basically comes from ^aleksandr sergeyevic puskin^'s book namely 'yevgeni onegin '.there are lot of vital stages on the film.the beginning of love and the fact that being felt in love to some one has described realistically.there are some minor details that gives the path to create impressive movie as this one.one of that detail is the owner of a latter is the one who is obtained not the one writes.perhaps this sounds meaningless at first glance but this if you go into the details,it would become touching. at the further steps of the movie becomes a combat between 'Ralph Fiennes' and 'Liv Tyler'in terms of acting but there is no loser in this fight both of them are victorious.i suggest this film to everyone don't let the low vote average prevent you to watch it.

Is it necessary to place yet another comment on Onegin? YES IT IS. This film is brilliant. All comments on historic technicalities aside this film creates a breathtaking performance of Pushkins masterpiece. I have read the translated Onegin; I have to admit, only after seeing this film. After I did I could not decide if I liked Onegin so much because of Pushkins beautiful prose or Fiennes fantastic acting. He, in my opinion becomes very much the true personification of Onegin's character as it was meant by Pushkin when he wrote Onegin. Captivated by his indifferent arrogance and later on tormented and consumed by his heartfelt passions, the public is undeniably drawn into this film. Liv Tyler contraries his character beautifully, playing the young, innocent and introvert Tatjana. She is beauty in it's simplest and purest form. The kind of beauty that is sublime. Shy and isolated from her environment, she is both mysterious and lovely. This film has touched my soul and placed itself in my heart.Onegin is a must for anyone who loves a romantic tragedy which sets in a magnificent place. This drama is excellent for those who want to enjoy the magic of poetry on screen.

"Onegin" is a charming and dramatic romance. It contains all of the elements of a great film. The acting is underplayed. The cinematography is perfection itself. The colors are muted in concert with the drama itself. One can only desire an extension of the romantic relationship with Onegin himself and his lovely sweetheart. There are very dramatic moments including the duel on the pier. The snow scenes are reminiscent of "Dr. Zhivago". I can highly recommend this picture for those romantics at heart. Alexander Pushkin would be proud to see this serious play in cinematic form. It is now in DVD format with excellent soundtrack and special features. This is one not to miss.
