The film makes a home in your brain and the only cure is to see it again.

One of the most extraordinary films you will see this year. Take that as you want.

what a terribly boring film. I'm sorry but this is absolutely not deserving of best picture and will be forgotten quickly. Entertaining and engaging cinema? No. Nothing performances with flat faces and mistaking silence for subtlety.

This has all the makings of an underground camp hit, but just barely misses the mark. It is funny and totally does not take itself seriously. So if you are looking for a serious sci-fi, horror, or gore pic--well this is the wrong flic for you. And you will be offended. If you want a mindless somewhat funny pic for some late night watching, this might be worth a viewing. The film does not have any big "names" in it, or actors that really have become big in the 12 years since it was made (as of 2007). Is this good or bad . . .well you don't wonder how the actors decided to so something so silly. Much of the female acting is pretty good. It is good enough that you don't see the jokes coming. The male acting is too silly and it predicts the jokes to their detriment. There are visual as well as story homage to some of the low budget sci-fi films of the 50's and 60's. This is good. The reviews and comments that pan the movie for not being serious enough don't seem to get that this is foremost comedy and satire and in fairness should be reviewed as such first.

An alien and (sexy) sis conduct surgical experiments on hinterland hayseeds. (Question: Why decimate Yokelville when one could operate in, say, LA, where no one would miss a few dozen bums and crackwhores?) A major annoyance: the video box promises horror and suspense, but the product is utterly unserious. While its shortcomings are many, it does have small virtues, as it attempts to mirror 50's creature features, and has that seat-of-the-pants feel of early New World output. Tyler Bates' score cleverly echoes those bombastic Ronald Stein and Albert Glasser soundtracks of the fifties, and the alien surgical tools lovingly replicate Paul Blaisdell"s otherworldly props in INVASION OF THE SAUCERMEN and NOT OF THIS EARTH, which this film's plot resembles. FX, make-up, and acting are passable, and Rainer Grant is terrific fun as the space vixen.

This movie should be nominated for a new genre: Complete Mess! Except for a few chuckles and one or two scenes of gore, this movie is a complete waste of time. Calling it "Campy" doesn't even cut it. "Campy" implies fun which this movie was not. You spend the first half of the movie thinking "Its got to get better, right?". In fairness, it does, at the very end when its finally explained who the "brother/sister" team are and what they want but by then, you hardly care anymore because you've spend the entire second half of the movie wondering exactly what did Mr. Onorati & Ms. Pacula do to tick someone off THIS badly to be stuck in such a horrible movie.

This low-budget tale of a (small-scale) alien invasion is a curious mixture. The rural small-town setting is well-caught and much of the film has an innocent goofy charm. But this is undercut by the violent and ruthless nature of the aliens' behaviour as they prey on the hapless townspeople. Acting is reasonable with Joanna Pacula as a likeable heroine suffering marital problems and events build to a strikingly gruesome climax.
