However, the lovely Jaclyn Smith is certainly enjoying her role as Dana, an attractive middle aged woman who will stop at nothing to get what she wants. I admit it's great to see Ms Smith in a sort of 'bad girl' role, and she and Jill Eikenberry share a good chemistry; they should work together again.Admittedly, My Very Best Friend will in no doubt appeal to admirers of Jaclyn Smith (like myself) even if it is not one of her better TV movies. It's a film that is let down with its slow pacing and dull feel. Nevertheless, it has a certain charm about it. 5/10

She reminds me of Gene Tierney's character in the classic film "Leave Her To Heaven.Smith is always a capable performer and this is one of her best. Acting wise, this is a top notch. Not only fans of Smith will enjoy this film but also fans of this genre.For the fans, there's some shots in the opening credits of Smith's "real" magazine covers from Vogue, etc..., well, she played a former model who must have everything even the love for her best friend's husband.Final verdict : Gorgeously Evil .......
