My Brother the Pig Audience Reviews

Titreenp SERIOUSLY. This is what the crap Hollywood still puts out?
VeteranLight I don't have all the words right now but this film is a work of art.
Intcatinfo A Masterpiece!
Geraldine The story, direction, characters, and writing/dialogue is akin to taking a tranquilizer shot to the neck, but everything else was so well done.
latarian I spent about a week of time downloading this film, knowing that such old films are mostly out of sources now. I saw the low rating of it on IMDb and I only thought that people might have underrated that film. I didn't expect it to be a great one like other movies with the little goddess in, such as "The horse whisperer" or "Manny & Lo", but I still paid that much efforts downloading it because my goddess was the #1 on the cast list, but only to disappoint myself a bit later. The film is basically worthless, and even my goddess's performance didn't contain any spectacle worth speaking of. The part I hated most while watching that film was when my goddess was looking for a "bathroom", walking gingerly with both hands gripping her pubic area... which was downright nasty and disgusting, IMHO. Yet she began dancing vivaciously right after a bath somehow. It was only her brother "George" that was incarnated into a pig, but it seemed like each character in that film had got his/her brain transformed into a pig's, IMHO. The whole movie was pretty stupid, and rather childish even by a child's standard.
Desertman84 When a mysterious spell transforms a young teenager's bratty little brother into a pig while their parents are on vacation, their only hope for restoring the hoofed youngster back to his human form is to take a trip south of the border in this supernatural comedy for the whole family starring Scarlett Johansson entitled,My Brother The Pig.It co- stars Judge Reinhold, Alex D. Linz and Eva Mendes.A boy named George is magically transformed into a pig. In a dangerous and crazy adventure, the boy, his sister, Kathy, his best friend Freud, and their college housekeeper, Matilda leave for Mexico to try to undo the witchcraft before their parents return from their Paris trip. While gathering ingredients in order for Matilda's grandmother, Berta, to undo the spell, Kathy grows impatient and after insulting both Matilda and Berta, storms off into town, where she befriends two Mexican girls who speak English and have satellite TV. Meanwhile, Freud accidentally loses George to a butcher. With Kathy and her friends, they try to rescue George, in the process of angering the butcher. They are able to get George to Coyote Mountain, under a full moon phase, where a potion has been prepared to return George to normal. Unfortunately, the butcher had followed them, just as the ritual had begun. Matilda and Berta dose the butcher with the potion, turning him into a vulture, while George is restored to normal. This is a funny movie that would make one really laugh. But unfortunately,it is one silly movie for kids and nothing more. The only thing is presents basically is it presents Scarlett Johansson in one of her early roles in her film career.
Mark Smith OK-- so rented this because my son loves pigs and I love Eva Mendes, and I have to tell you I actually enjoyed it with my kids and laughed (out loud) twice and that's a lot for me.This movie is a surprise and a lot better then many films that I've rented with my kids (and I've seen them all). Does anyone know if this was in the theaters--it looks feature budget and score is great.Rent it and be surprised--not you usually stupid family fare. There are some lines that are very adult, but they went over my kids' heads and I laughed out loud. Scarlett Johannssen rocks too in this film and looks amazing!
candyslists I rented this from the "family" section of my local video store, and much to my dismay, there was a large amount of foul language coming from the mouth of Scarlett Johansen. Her (and the rest of the cast's) acting was far below her performance in The Horse Whisperer a year prior. The only similarity is that once again she plays a teen with a bad attitude that gets overcome in the end. The plot might have been written by my 2 year old. It became painful to watch after a while, but my kids insisted on watching it to the end (we had to keep saying, "oh that's a bad word!" as the language was inappropriate for the under 13 crowd. Absolutely a waste of a dollar to rent!
