It is neither dumb nor smart enough to be fun, and spends way too much time with its boring human characters.

The movie's neither hopeful in contrived ways, nor hopeless in different contrived ways. Somehow it manages to be wonderful

I just love Carl Sukenick's movies. In this case - "Mutant Massacre 2" - he employs a surprising plot, a unique dialog approach, and a spontaneous acting style to create a funny/scary movie which left me feeling delighted and lucky to have discovered this rare film. The film's special effects by Joe Lapenna - who works on Tales from the Dark Side - include great make-up, and a not-to-be-missed radiation effect. He also plays a small part in the movie, so I was glad to see what this popular talent looks like. It's obvious that this director puts his heart into his film-work. I realize that Mr. Sukenick's films may not be for every audience, but if you like personal, small-budget scary movies, this one could be just right for you. I recommend that people check it out!
