Brilliant and touching

At first rather annoying in its heavy emphasis on reenactments, this movie ultimately proves fascinating, simply because the complicated, highly dramatic tale it tells still almost defies belief.

There's no way I can possibly love it entirely but I just think its ridiculously bad, but enjoyable at the same time.

Exactly the movie you think it is, but not the movie you want it to be.

this movie is amazing, a must see for anyone not from ph but living there or going there! this main character Mr. Suave is just an amazing guy, the way he woo woman and make them come for him, the way he work up the family to fall in love with him, its just a beautiful sight. anyways, its hard to find this movie online, and it even hard to find the subtitles but its great watch, it will make u keep on laughing and smiling, the way he sits down at a outdoor cafe table, the way he says, hello, the way he kisses a girls hand is just so Mr. Suave. In my eyes he is a hero, a Filipino hero.the part of the movie i did not enjoy is his problem with woman, because i wish the movie show more of his successes and less of the freeze problem but what can u doi might edit and write more later if anyone find this interesting to readhomer from USA/eu

This movie I saw at Otakon 2005 (anime convention), and it made my going there all the worthwhile. Vhong Navarro totally worked it in this movie, and he is seriously magnificent when it comes to physical comedy. This movie has slapstick, some parts mildly gross out humor, romance, shrimp selling, and overall it will make you laugh like you wouldn't believe. I highly suggest this movie. And, for those of you that don't like reading subtitles, you should still see it - that's how funny it is. The fact it was filmed in another country doesn't effect the movie at all, as the culture didn't play a really big part in the story, just the main character's "ordeal."
