I think this is a new genre that they're all sort of working their way through it and haven't got all the kinks worked out yet but it's a genre that works for me.

The movie was starting as Episode 1 and 2 was "The First Face-Off", Ducks agent, Phil Palmfeather tell Anaheim police officer Captain Klegghorn about their Backstory where Wildwing, Nosedive, Canard Thunderbeak, and other 4 ducks gonna save Puckworld and taken down Tim Curry's villian character of all time, Lord Dragaunus who wanna to get revenge for his Ancestors. their on it way to catch his tail before Canard die by giant electromagnetic worm, and Wildwing is captain now with Drake DuCaine mask and their stuck in earth planet where to become Anaheim Ducks. The Ducks will planing to find Dragaunus and taken him down before he does it again.
I like these idea where their making continuous movie release on VHS and DVD with episodes editing togethers likes they did "Batman Beyond: The Movie"(Warner Bros.), "Teddy Ruxpin: The Movie"(HiT Entertainment), and UK DVD version with "Jem and the Holograms: The Movie"(Hasbro), and "NCIS Movies"(CBS) show up, its likes "Gargoyles Movie: The Heroes Awaken" as Condensed movie version of "Awakening" as 5 episodes on there. this show and movie is part of my childhood

Mighty Ducks is for me an underrated series and a lot of fun. Unfortunately it was also a series that should have been better resolved and on less of an incomplete note. If you like the show, you'll like The First Face Off. It does read, and I consider it to be, of a two-part pilot(or at least two episodes of the show) and a very promising one at that-though the show did get stronger after-, much better than what the 4.8 rating as of now suggests. From personal perspective, admittedly the first half was better than the second, the first half was thrilling and the moment the characters were introduced they had likable personalities and were interesting, enough for us to emotionally invest in them. The second half is still entertaining even when not having as much action as the first half but it does have some exposition parts that lag the pace a little bit. The climax is exciting and compels you to carry on watching the series. The animation is clean and smooth with vibrant colours and the accompanying music is rousing complete with a catchy main theme. The writing is sharp and humorous and you can tell there was heart put into it, some of it is cheesy but more in an endearing way than an annoying one which is true for the rest of the show as well. The story is easy to follow, moves swiftly and draws you right in whether it's for the relationships between the characters, the conflict or the exciting action. Like the writing there is some emotional investing, Canard's sacrifice does pull at the heart-strings. The characters engage, both the heroes and villains. Wildwing is a character I related to for much of The First Face Off, and he and Nosedive always came across as the strongest written of the ducks. Phil is a fun character and narrates the story here amusingly, Klegghorn doesn't have a lot to do but he reacts to Phil well. Coming to the villains, Chameleon is the most entertaining henchman with his shape-shifting and disguises and Dragaunus, a bad-ass villain, is one of the best characters of the show along with Wildwing. There is nothing to fault with the voice acting, some may question why April Winchell sounds like she's talking through a head-cold but it is part of the character and her allergies. Ian Ziering, Jennifer Hale and Steve Mackall are the most effective voicing the heroes, while the instantly recognisable James Belushi sounds like he's having fun, Tony Jay is always great value and Frank Welker shows great versatility like his character. Special mention must go to one of the most outstanding voice actors today and ever Tim Curry, whose smarmy menace for Dragaunus is pitched perfectly, no wonder as voicing villains is where he most excels. In conclusion, promising and fun, goes very well with the show and deserving of a higher rating. 8/10 Bethany Cox

I may be crazy, but I totally enjoy this movie. I can have it on and still do my housework or homework. My grandchildren and I use to watch it quite a bit before they moved to Germany. But now I put it on and sometimes I just listen to it while I do other things. I do not like a silent house, so I put movies in to listen too while getting ready to go or accomplish other things that need to be done. One thing I would like to know is if they made any more of these movies. At the end of this one they say, "But hey, that's another movie." If they did I would like to get it. Anyway, I've had it on and had nieces and or nephews, even adults come in and if it is on they will get sidetracked watching it. It has comedy, action, hockey, they play by the rules and obey the laws. When the bad hockey players try to cheat, the Mighty Ducks win and give "major payback" but they do it by the book. So it is also a good example of how to "Play By The Rules", no matter what. They have excellent team work as well. It is just fun to watch. You don't have to worry about language, or anything negative. MaryG

This is a good movie for children. I do not see why it only has a three out of ten rating on IMDb's rating system but you have to realize it is just a children's movie so of course adults are not going to like it so much. The Mighty Ducks is one of the best children's TV series ever in my opinion and I am basing it entirely on what my kids watch without complaining. They watched this movie probably a hundred times and I am not exaggerating, they just really like the animated characters and the hockey. I hated the show because it got very boring very fast. I laughed, I learned, I cried. None of that actually happened I am just trying to get to the mandatory number of lines they say I have to write. This Mighty Ducks movie is a perfectly fine movie for kids to waste their time watching.
