It's hard to see any effort in the film. There's no comedy to speak of, no real drama and, worst of all.

One of the worst ways to make a cult movie is to set out to make a cult movie.

This movie was not that hard to understand. The movie critics do not give the viewers enough credit. It could have been written a little better, but Shia LaBeouf delivered a powerful and an emotionally driven performance about PTSD. The end was hard to take, and everyone in the room was pretty chocked up. His performance alone earned this movie high ratings.

Screw this communist. I will never watch Shia LaBeouf in anything but a trial again

Shia Lebouf was great in the movie and the ending was unexpected.

Just watched Man Down (the one that sold a single ticket in the U.K. in theaters opening weekend)...you can hate Shia LeBeouf and his political stances all you want but that was a BRILLIANT performance. That movie was not at all what I expected. Completely heartbreaking...but I think it needed to be made.
